Also, there were a lot of tour groups, and the breakfast selection was pretty basic, leading to long queues at the front desk during peak times."

"Pros: 1) Separate floors for women and men; this floor is exclusively for women, which felt very safe. 2) The room was relatively quiet, and the owner provided guidelines, including a rule against using hair dryers after 11 PM (though someone still used one that night – there's always a bad apple). 3) Slippers were provided at the entrance, and the bunk also had a towel and disposable toiletries, which was a thoughtful touch. 4) The owner also provided detailed photo and text directions via WeChat, making the hostel easy to find. Cons: 1) The bathroom was directly across from the six-bed dorm room (the yellow curtain in picture 1 shows the dorm on the left and the bathroom on the right). The bathroom doesn't have a main door, so whenever someone used it, the flushing sound was clearly audible in the two adjacent rooms. I heard intermittent flushing at past 1 AM, and even heard my bunkmate sigh. (Obviously, you can't restrict bathroom use, but the owner could consider improving soundproofing.) 2) As soon as I opened my room door in the morning, I smelled a strong odor from the bathroom across the hall. It was quite off-putting (again, likely due to the bathroom lacking a main door). 3) The shower room also doesn't have a main door and is right next to another room. If someone showers late at night, the splashing can be quite noisy."

"Traveling solo, I arrived too late at the Inner Mongolia Museum to even glance around, so I booked another night to rest. The guesthouse is more of an apartment-style stay. The actual hotel is through a glass door next to where you check in, then you take an elevator to your floor. (The property security is to the right as you enter.) I found the hygiene to be quite average; I even saw a cockroach after waking up in the middle of the night. The facilities are complete with air conditioning, a washing machine, and a refrigerator. There's a water heater for showers, but the water turns cold after a while, so you need to mind your shower time. There were some construction materials piled up outside the door of my room, causing a slight odor."

"First off, while parking is free, it's incredibly inconvenient. It's a mechanical parking system where you drive your car into what feels like an elevator shaft, and it automatically parks. But if you need to grab something from your car or take it out, you have to operate a retrieval system. When the car comes out, it's facing outwards. If you take something out and then want to re-park, you have to drive the car out yourself and turn it around so it's facing inwards. Secondly, breakfast was really bad. The freshly made noodles were tasteless, and the variety was extremely limited. There was only one type of vegetable. The yogurt disappeared within minutes. The millet porridge was the thinnest I've ever seen, practically water. Fruit? None. Bread? None. Lastly, the laundry room only has one washing machine and one dryer. If you want to do laundry, you'll have to wait, and chances are you won't even get a turn. In summary, it's relatively close to Dazhao Temple and Saishang Old Street, about an 11 yuan taxi ride away."

"I stayed here for 3 consecutive days, and the location is absolutely fantastic! Zhongshan West Road is very lively, a real commercial hub. Right downstairs is Qingcheng Park, the 'city's green lung,' and the lotus flowers there are stunning! It's so convenient for a stroll. A taxi to Dazhao Temple takes only 7 minutes, and you can walk to Kuan Alley in just 3 minutes. The breakfast spread was quite generous and tasty! The high-altitude restaurant's food was excellent. Since my parents and kids don't eat lamb, we basically had all our meals at the Jiangnan High-Altitude Restaurant on the 30th floor. Xiao Dong and Fanfan (or perhaps Fancan? I can't quite remember her name) at the front desk saw I had a child with me and helped me with a late check-out, even gifting us some fridge magnets. They were so kind and beautiful, making us feel right at home. Hohhot is a great summer escape, nice and cool! This Mercure hotel is a wonderful place to stay!"
