"This is truly a hidden gem of a guesthouse! The environment is wonderful, and the service is incredibly attentive. Even after a day of rain, staying at the guesthouse was anything but boring. Adults found the sound of the rain very pleasant, and the kids had a blast playing in the courtyard. The noodles for breakfast were delicious, and after breakfast, we took a walk in the mountains and discovered a playground, which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. In the afternoon, we strolled through Liyang Old Street – it was so relaxing! Returning to the guesthouse for afternoon tea was just perfect. The kids kept saying they wanted to come back! Highly recommended!"

"We had a lovely stay at Yujian No.8 in Huangshan Tunxi Old Street. The room was very spacious and beautifully designed with an artistic and elegant touch, creating a warm and unique atmosphere. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Tunxi Old Street. It was very convenient to simply step outside and enjoy walking along the historic street, exploring the shops, local snacks, and the charming surroundings. The butler service was excellent. They kindly helped us arrange transportation to Huangshan Scenic Area and also to the railway station, which made our travel very smooth and convenient. They also provided great recommendations for delicious local food. Their warm hospitality truly made our stay more enjoyable. Overall, it was a delightful experience and a perfect place to stay while visiting Huangshan."

"I'm giving this five stars. First, let me address the downsides: 1. Hotels in Huangshan are incredibly expensive during holidays. It was 2000 RMB a night during the Qingming Festival. The buffet is 180 RMB, and kids under 140cm are half price. So, check your wallet first. 2. This hotel is great for kids, but there's no elevator, so seniors will have to walk up several flights of stairs. Now for the advantages: 1. It's expensive for a reason. Firstly, the hotel is relatively new and well-equipped. You have to remember that Bright Summit is at an altitude of 1860 meters, and all along the way, I saw porters carrying supplies. It's incredibly difficult to transport so many goods to the mountaintop. During holidays, when it's crowded, finding a comfortable hotel and spending two days hiking Huangshan is truly rejuvenating. 2. The kids loved it! The hotel has a great design. Right outside our room on the fourth floor, there was a Mario character sitting there, which my son adored. The arcade machines in the lobby are free, and kids were constantly gathered around them. Even adults from the '80s generation would spend ages playing. 3. I thought the 180 RMB buffet was pretty good; all the dishes tasted great. The cured meats like bacon and sausage were very authentic, and there was fermented tofu (Mao Doufu) and many other local specialties. The food was genuinely delicious. After a day of hiking, you're ravenous, and I ate a lot of short ribs, prawns, and warm kudzu powder (with a bit of fried rice, honey, and raisins – a real comfort for my stomach). I especially loved their pie-like pastry; it was so good, with preserved vegetables inside and what seemed like highland barley flour for the crust. My son is 140cm, so he got half price, making it 270 RMB for both of us, which is actually cheaper than ordering à la carte outside. 4. Originally, I wanted to stay at Bright Summit and Baiyun Pavilion to catch the sunrise. However, Danxia Peak near Paiyunlou offers excellent sunrise and sunset views, and crucially, it's less crowded and very close by. The hotel's 'little butler' (concierge) told me the sunrise and sunset times, with a 55% chance of seeing them. We were incredibly lucky during our stay and witnessed both morning and evening, leaving very satisfied. 5. From here, the next day, you can go to the West Sea Grand Canyon, take the small train, and then head down the mountain. Taste: Good Ambiance: Beautiful Service: Attentive"

"Hotel room itself was very small, the toilet and shower were in the same room. But the location is in a good spot on the mountain, close to sunrise spots. Although if you don’t want to spend ¥160 on dinner at the hotel, you might have to go a bit far to find something cheaper (ie base of guangmingding). The employees are courteous and the hotel has someone tell you what the weather is like at sunset/sunrise and organizes a group to go see sunset/sunrise together. There are also puffer jackets provided in the rooms so you won’t be cold while waiting. As far as it goes, I was prepared for one night to be very expensive and for the room to be small—you are mainly paying for the being able to stay a night on huangshan, so at least the hotel has quality service."

"This hotel is really great! First off, the location is excellent; it's just a short walk up to the transfer station. Plus, the stay was very pleasant – all the facilities are well-equipped, and you can see a beautiful view directly from the rooftop, perfect for taking photos. We were staying overnight on the mountain, and the owner even offered to let us park our car in their garage, which shows their fantastic service! We saw a sea of clouds as we went up the mountain, which was such a pleasant surprise! 🎉"

"This hotel, built in 2025, is quite close to Shixin Peak but a bit far from Bright Summit. The hotel organizes sunrise and sunset viewing tours, but the sunrise spot at Shixin Peak seems a bit off-center – I wonder if Bright Summit would be better. If you head straight to the hotel after coming down the Yungu Temple cable car, it's not too far. The exterior looks a bit old and ordinary, but the interior decor is quite nice. The prices at the à la carte restaurant are quite high; the dinner buffet was 198 RMB per person. After comparing, I decided to go with the buffet. Neither the breakfast nor dinner buffet had a huge variety of dishes, but the dinner was relatively tastier. Since I was staying alone, I was quite concerned about room security. The safety latch on the door initially didn't work. After an engineer came to fix it, it could be locked. In the morning, someone knocked on my door, and I didn't unlock the safety latch to check. The entire safety latch just fell off completely without any force, rendering it useless as a security measure. This was quite startling and left me feeling uneasy; I've never encountered anything like this at any other hotel, especially not on a mountain. Although the room is small, I was quite satisfied with the facilities and decor for a hotel on the mountain. However, good hotel decor is only one part of the experience, and having the safety latch fall off was certainly a new experience."

"I'd been keeping an eye on this hotel since last year, and it was absolutely the right choice! It's close to the Yungu cable car, and they offer a dedicated shuttle service. The room was spacious and clean, with a charming, antique-style decor that really captures the Huizhou architectural essence. The hotel's food selection was extensive and delicious. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and thoughtful; they helped us plan our sightseeing routes, provided free trekking poles, and even offered afternoon tea. It was a wonderful stay! I'll definitely be choosing this hotel again when I return."

"The hotel really put you in holiday mood with the wooden interior and design. The hotel is a short walk away from huangshan north bus station. The breakfast is tasty and filling to prepare you for the hike. After the hike, you can rest in their hot spring outdoor pool. The staff are friendly and they even gifted us a farewell gift"

"Extremely satisfied! I booked Guangmingding to see the sunrise and sunset. Huang Lijun was our hostess. She knew it was my friend's birthday and arranged for a birthday noodle dish, which was a huge plus! She also arranged a room with a view of the sea of clouds and the sunrise. In the evening, we even got a free stargazing and moon-watching experience with a telescope! Although the room was a bit old and small, it had everything we needed. They provided free down jackets and heating. All the staff were very professional and enthusiastic. Highly recommend with five stars!"
