"Love their home cooked dishes! We rather go back to hotel for meal after Gubei water town. The couple bosses were so sweet to let us indicate spiciness and accommodate our minor diet restriction. They dun have noodles but they used alternative ingredients to make some gourd dish that tasted close to noodles. The rooms were big, in SG standard, one bed was queen size and the other was super single. Their bathroom was newly renovated and love their heater installed at shower cubicle, making it more comfortable to shower in cold weather. The couple bosses provided great tips on local transport to help us get to/fro Jinshanling for sunset and sunrise opportunities. They are situated around 5min drive from Jinshanling ticketing. Love the room doorstep views overlooking the geese and house dog. We will choose this hotel next time!"

"Location is unbeatable!! The hotel is right before the entrance gate to the Jinshanling Great Wall cable car station and trail heads. You can actually hike up to good view points on the Great Wall injust 30-40 minutes. The hotel is in good condition. The room is mostly clean and well maintained. The AC works well. Toilet has a weird smell but didn't bother me that much. Wish they provided conditioner (only shampoo and shower gel were in the bathroom). Restaurant has many options for Chinese dishes and so is the buffet breakfast. If I come back, definitely book it again for the excellent location."

"The hotel's location is pretty good, and the surroundings are very quiet. It's only about a 19-minute drive to Jinshanling Great Wall. However, the Jinshanling exit on the G45 Beijing-Chengde Expressway is closed, so you have to take a detour. When there are fewer guests, breakfast is served individually with generous portions. When it's busy, they open a buffet with a wider variety of options. The room was spacious, great for families. But there were a lot of ladybugs (or 'stink bugs' as some call them) that somehow got into the room; we had to clear them out as soon as we checked in. The bathroom drain was clogged, so the facilities definitely need some maintenance. It's probably okay for a 1-2 night stay."

"We were scared of large crowds at the wall, and followimg many online recommendation we found the Jinshanling section. This hotel is at the great location a short walk from the mid enterance to the wall section, the Gubeikou train station is also very reachable from the Beijingbei (North) train station. It is also quite affordable to reach the place by Didi (550 yuan from the Beijing airport). The place is clean, and the food really stands out as quite amazing, the prices are also very low, for room and food. Just tell the owner you would want a breakfast and you will be served one first thing in the morning. The ladies are also super nice and very hospitable to the foreign turists."

"It took a long time to comment! I stayed on April 29, did not catch up with the May Day Army, and the rest was very good. The family room is set, one 1.8m bed, two 1.2m bed, the fact can live four people. We live in a family. The disadvantage is that the bed is a bit hard, if there is a softer mattress, it would be fine. wc will have a bit of a taste, but it is acceptable. The next morning, the proprietress cooked noodles and gave me a cup of American style, very not satisfied! Then we parked the car at the entrance of the store and walked to the scenic spot for about ten minutes, which was very convenient!"

"The room and hardware facilities are pretty good, and the price is honestly very affordable during the National Day holiday. . . The worst part is the lack of service and service awareness. . . First, I booked 2 rooms, and one of them didn’t have slippers. I called and asked for them to be brought to me, and then he directly ordered me to look for them in the cupboard for a long time. "The room is in line with the price, some simple but very clean. The boss and the waiter are very warm and the service is in place. The dishes are also delicious and the children like it very much. The only thing that makes people uncomfortable is that they didn't say that they would charge when they helped send the ticket gate. I heard the proprietress say that after breakfast, I helped send the ticket gate of the Great Wall. After climbing the Great Wall, I asked me to call again. They came to pick it up. If they didn't mention how much money, they defaulted to the free service. As a result, at checkout, each person was 10 yuan a way, and we received 80 yuan for a big and three small back and forth. If you tell us in advance that this is a fee service will be better, we can have our own choice whether to accept this service. I should also ask if it is free first."

"On April 30, we just randomly found a restaurant to stay at night, but it was unexpected. The boss and his wife were very nice. They waited for us at around 9 o'clock in the evening and helped us prepare dinner. The dishes cooked by the boss were also very delicious and especially suitable for our appetite. The room was newly renovated and carefully decorated. It was clean, hygienic and refreshing! I will choose this restaurant next time I go to Jinshanling Great Wall. There is a large parking lot at the door, which is convenient for parking."
