"Prime location. Easy to get around in whichever transport mode you prefer, via taxi, metro, or bike. Despite it being in a scenic area, it's relatively quiet. Guest gets unlimited pass to Panmen scenic area. Breakfast was very good, a variety of Asian & Western foods. Staff were friendly and helpful. P.S. Hotel staff gave me a delicious birthday cake. Thank you! 😊"

"The room was exceptionally clean, and the traditional garden-style architecture was truly captivating. Our duplex room was impressively spacious with plenty of room to relax, and the beds were neatly made. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. The drinks offered here are delicious and very reasonably priced! Plus, they can be delivered right to your room, which was incredibly convenient. It was quite hot during our stay, so we especially appreciated the complimentary sour plum juice and mint water provided to guests – a truly thoughtful touch that made our experience superb. We even asked the owner for ice cups for our cocktails, which she happily provided – fantastic service! The guesthouse is conveniently located by the road, close to various attractions and convenience stores. On either side, you'll find authentic local eateries serving delicious snacks like Shengjian for breakfast. Both the Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum are just a five-minute walk away. It was perfect to be able to retreat to the comfort of our room for a break when the afternoon heat became too much."

"We understand that this is a newly opened hotel and perhaps they had never hosted foreign guests with a special visa (non-tourist visa) before. However, we had a very unpleasant experience. Around midnight, the staff nearly forced us to leave the hotel, assuming that we had overstayed simply because our entry date into China was more than 30 days ago. We are two women traveling together, and being almost kicked out of the hotel in the middle of the night was extremely stressful and unsafe. On the positive side, the location is convenient — only a 7-minute walk to the famous Shantang Road. Tips for future guests: the hot tub is on the outdoor terrace, but since the weather is still warm and there are many mosquitoes, it’s not really enjoyable. Overall, it was not worth the money."

"For my trip to Suzhou, I chose the Crowne Plaza after seeing many recommendations online. It definitely lived up to its online reputation; the lake view was absolutely stunning. Upon entering the lobby, you're immediately greeted by a panoramic and absolutely gorgeous lake view. The hotel's decor is also very grand and impressive. Its overall architecture, resembling a cruise ship, is truly unique. What's particularly worth praising is the hotel's breakfast. The restaurant is very spacious and located right by the lake, offering fantastic views. Plus, the breakfast spread is incredibly rich and diverse, with so many options to choose from. The complimentary travel photoshoot from 'Seven Degrees' (七度旅拍) offered by the hotel was a pleasant surprise and quite good. The photographer was very dedicated and professional, and I was also very pleased with how the photos turned out. Highly recommended!"

"The staff at the hotel are really friendly and helpful. The facilities however are a little old and not well maintained. There was only one working jacuzzi and the others were 'out of order'. On the plus side the location is great. There's nice malls a quick walk away. There's also an amazing restaurant right outside the hotel, which has local Suzhou food. Highly recommend the crab noodles and the crab soup dumplings."

"One of the best retreat options in China after a busy work schedule. I became a fan the first time I tried it. Every detail is very thoughtful, from hardware facilities to activity arrangements, and even mental health examinations and fitness evaluations are arranged. The spa is also very good. What surprised me even more was that the three meals a day were really delicious and healthy. My friend and I are not gluttons, but we were amazed by the chef's exquisite vegetarian dishes. The food was very pleasant 😁. Combined with yoga and sound therapy, it is really a great retreat."

"Location: Superb! Stepping out of the hotel, you're greeted by lush greenery, and just a 3-minute walk leads you to Jinji Lake, right in a very lively and bustling area. Breakfast: The spread was incredibly rich and comprehensive, offering everything you could possibly want. Be aware there's a queue between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM. When we first went in, there were no available tables, but the staff were incredibly attentive and proactive – they didn't ignore us but quickly helped us find and clear a table, getting us seated promptly. The variety was dazzling: soy milk, fried dough sticks, pork ribs, tofu skin rolls, red soup noodles, three-filling buns, freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices, salads, coffee, ice cream, various beverages, bread, pan-fried buns, Jianbing Guozi, oatmeal... The breakfast experience itself felt like a highlight of our trip. Pool: Absolutely loved it! There were adults and children swimming, but it never felt crowded, probably fewer than 20 people at any time. The pool was clean, luxurious, and offered views of the Gate of the Orient. Guests only need to bring themselves, swimwear, and a change of clothes; the changing rooms provide plastic slippers, tissues, cotton swabs, water, large (very comfortable) towels, and more. Swim caps are mandatory for entry. Room: The size was just right, and the bedding was very comfortable. They provide two types of pillows, which I highly recommend: one firm and one softer – I loved both. We booked a lake-view room, which also offered views of the Ferris wheel. The large windows provided expansive views and excellent natural light. Service: Staff member Jack was highly efficient, polite, and professional, providing all sorts of excellent services to guests. The InterContinental also showed great flexibility. After checking out, we went to Tongli, leaving our luggage at the hotel. We returned to pick up our bags after exploring Tongli and were able to organize our belongings and rest in the hotel lobby without being rushed by the staff. I had initially planned to dine in Tongli, but I decisively chose the InterContinental's restaurant instead. The ambiance was great, the service was excellent, and the air conditioning was perfect. As we had a 7:30 PM train to catch, I communicated with the staff in advance about dining earlier. It was absolutely no problem; the transition was seamless, and the dishes were delicious. My parents even said the Yangzhou Dried Shredded Tofu was better than what they'd had in Yangzhou. The Mango Pomelo Sago, at first glance, looked like steamed egg custard, but one taste revealed it was incredibly delicious – silky smooth and rich. Even my usually thrifty father commented, 'It would have been great if we had also had dinner here yesterday.' What I really want to convey to the hotel is that with excellent service and delicious food, customers will definitely be willing to pay, regardless of the price. We were satisfied with our entire experience at the hotel, including the accommodation, pool, breakfast, and restaurant. Due to the extreme heat and a sudden thunderstorm, we didn't get to explore Jinji Lake much. So, we'll definitely have to come back to Jinji Lake. I told my mother, 'Next time we visit, let's try a different five-star hotel.' But she replied, 'No way, we're staying at the InterContinental again. It has to be the InterContinental!'"

"The hotel's facilities are impeccably maintained. While Shangri-La is a well-established five-star brand, this particular property is relatively new and modern. They even have delivery robots, which kids will surely love! The views from the room are absolutely stunning. The location is also second to none, being very close to the subway station and just a few minutes from Jinji Lake. However, what truly stood out was the service. Our butler, Yvonne, provided continuous support from booking to check-out, helping us resolve numerous issues. Her warm and attentive service is definitely a key reason I would choose to stay here again. We enjoyed a delightful and cozy weekend with our family at the Shangri-La, and we'll definitely be back!"

"The hotel is located at the heart of Pingjiang road so it’s very convenient for us to explore nearby attractions. We also especially love the interior of the accommodation. Our hotel room is very comfortable and the afternoon tea and breakfast was also beautifully done. Overall, we are very happy with our stay here.
