Scenic Hotels in Fukuoka

"This hotel, located in the Hakata Station area, offers a shuttle bus service that takes about half an hour to reach the property. However, it's important to note that on weekdays, there are only a few scheduled trips to the hotel. On holidays, the free round-trip shuttle runs all day, approximately once an hour. During my stay, which was on a weekday, only the 10 AM and 11 AM shuttle buses were available for departure; there were no other times, so calling a taxi was more convenient. The hotel offers both Japanese and Western dining options, a simple gym, and a nice public onsen. Since the hotel is situated on a mountain, it's not overly crowded, making for a more comfortable stay. My room this time had a good view, and the lobby has been renovated. However, the room only had a shower stall and no bathtub, which guests should be aware of."

"Saga doesn't have a vast selection of hotels. Traveling with my parents, I picked this one for its Japanese-style room, hoping they could experience sleeping on a tatami mat. When we arrived, it wasn't yet check-in time. However, the hotel kindly allowed us to complete the check-in formalities and store our luggage. We then headed straight out to explore the nearby Prefectural Office and grab some lunch. Upon our return in the afternoon, we simply collected our room key and went directly upstairs. Our luggage had already been conveniently placed in our room. The room wasn't particularly large; it felt a bit cramped for three people. We coordinated with the front desk before heading out for the evening, and they came in to lay out the futons while we were gone. Breakfast is served on the first floor. Looking at the price displayed at the entrance, I'd say it wouldn't offer great value for money if purchased separately. Additionally, as Saga isn't a very bustling city, if you're particular about dining options, staying closer to the station might be more convenient."

"The breakfast spread was quite generous, featuring milk and even sparkling wine. While the carpets in the public areas had a noticeable, unpleasant odor, the carpets in the rooms were thankfully fine. The hotel is conveniently located just a three-minute walk from the beach. However, the beach itself was quite littered. On a positive note, the hotel's expansive lawn was a standout feature. My east-facing room offered lovely views of the sunrise."

"After two unbearable nights in a tiny 14-square-meter hotel, I made a last-minute switch to One Fukuoka. I heard it was the top hotel in Fukuoka, so I wanted to give it a try. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of the Tenjin shopping district. You can step out and immediately start shopping, with Daimaru, PARCO, and Mitsukoshi all within walking distance. As soon as you enter the ONE FUKUOKA BLDG, you're greeted by a subtle, very soothing botanical scent. The hotel is next to an office building, so you need to look for it a bit, then take the elevator up to the 19th floor for check-in. The room is incredibly spacious. Fitting several suitcases isn't an issue, and there's even a dedicated luggage stand inside for organizing your belongings. It has a living room and a terrace directly facing The Ritz-Carlton. With double sinks and a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, what more could you ask for in terms of space in Japan? The hotel is very new, and both the bed and pillows have just the right firmness. The air in the room is fresh; after one night, I didn't get my usual rhinitis, and I even achieved an unprecedented deep sleep of over an hour. Besides the usual amenities, they also provide cotton pads, hair ties, mouthwash, socks, and bath towels. The mini-bar selection is also very rich and completely free – I drank to my heart's content. The only minor flaw I found was a small ring-shaped nail on the carpet, which looked like it might have fallen off a keychain or something similar. It made me feel like the room hadn't been thoroughly cleaned, but overall, the cleanliness was acceptable and not dirty. There's a library bar and lounge on the guest room floor, offering unlimited complimentary drinks and desserts (they even have ice cream!). I regretted only staying for one night. The hotel's overall style reminds me a lot of The Sukhothai Shanghai – therapeutic, serene, and natural, but with a slightly more homely feel than Sukhothai. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Fukuoka!"

"This is the best Ritz-Carlton we have ever visited! The hotel is very new, and the valet parking service was wonderful. The check-in process was very smooth, and our room featured a stunning Japanese design touch, making it truly exceptional. While the gym is a bit small, it has everything you need for a great workout. The location is prime, and we were pleased to find that a late check-out was available. Overall, our experience was fantastic!"

"Location is good but not easy to excess. In front a bus stop but the bus operates once an hour. So need to plan wisely to avoid long waiting. Nearby convenience store (7-11) need to walk 20mins, or by bus within 5 min but need to wait for an hour. Services is good. Staff can communicate in English well"

"This was a truly beautiful and wonderful hotel. The moment I entered the lobby, I was immediately struck by the breathtaking view. The harmony between the ocean view and the pristine white hotel was truly impressive. Every single item was precious and luxurious. There was an indoor heated pool for the kids, and an outdoor hot spring pool for the adults. Surrounded by distant mountains, the swimming pool and the ocean seemed to be connected... It was fantastic. The food was top-notch, and everything was top-notch. I highly recommend it."

"The Japanese-style room was spacious and comfortable, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering mountain views – a great option for a countryside getaway. Dinner was just okay, but there weren't many other choices around. The hot spring felt more like a public bath, but soaking under the stars at night was a nice experience."

"The hotel is very large, the hot spring is on the 2nd floor, there is an open-air pool and indoor pool, and the bath is very large. The hotel is right by the sea, the window of the room is facing the sea, the view is first-class, you can go to the beach for a walk and swim. The hotel's pool is only open every afternoon, we arrived at the hotel at 6 pm, and checked out at 10 pm the next day, so we were not able to go swimming in the pool. Breakfast and dinner are very rich! We have two children (3 and 8 years old), 3 years free, 8 years old will pay 8,000 yen (including breakfast and dinner and accommodation). There is no water in the room, but a pot of ice water is prepared. There is no bathtub in the room, so you must go to the big bath. The hotel has a washing machine and a dryer, 200 yen per time."
