"I spent a long time choosing a hotel before coming to the Netherlands. Hotels in Amsterdam are really expensive! Much more expensive than other cities in Europe... In the end, I gritted my teeth and booked the InterContinental, and stayed for eight days. It's really good, very close to the subway station, and there is a big supermarket half a stop away for supplies. Trams to several important attractions also stop at the door. Be sure to book a canal view room, although it's a little more expensive, but the view outside the window is really great! The lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic and gave me a map. She carefully took the map and helped me explain the main attractions."
