The Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel and Conference Center is indeed a good hotel, especially if you're looking for convenience when flying in or out of Schiphol Airport. Its biggest selling point is the location—it's directly connected to the terminal via a covered walkway, meaning you can roll out of bed and be at check-in or arrivals in just a few minutes. This makes it an excellent choice for layovers, early flights, or business travelers who value efficiency over exploring the city.
The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed in classic Sheraton style: plush beds, good soundproofing (crucial near an airport), decent workspaces, and modern amenities like fast Wi-Fi and coffee makers. Cleanliness is generally spot-on, and the staff are friendly and professional, often going out of their way to help with airport-related queries.
Facilities include a solid gym, sauna, and a conference center that's popular for events. The on-site restaurant and bar offer reliable food—nothing groundbreaking, but convenient and tasty enough for a quick meal.
Minor downsides: It's pricey for what it is (you're paying for the location), and it lacks the charm of downtown Amsterdam hotels since it's purely functional and airport-focused. If you're staying longer and want to sightsee, you'd be better off in the city center.
Overall, a solid, reliable option that delivers exactly what it promises. Recommended for transit stays!
