We now have visited this hotel 13 times in the past 6 years. That should tell you everything. From the very first time it has been a true gem, a paradise to stay. Having visited many hotels over the world , nowhere did we find this atmosphere, this service. Family-run for years you feel the love and dedication of all people involved to make your stay optimal to your personal preferences. Surrounded by the woods the hotel itself is located in a beautiful park with meticulously kept flowerbeds , and is a very well thought of combination of new and older architecture. Several terasses, an intimate wellness area, exclusive rooms with a view at the park, and a great breakfast and diner. But most of all it is the great service , the warm welcome that is expressed by the couple that owns the hotel and by the staff. It all may sound as to good to be true and for us it is, but apparently not only for us as we met several guests who also visit Jagdhaus Wiese several times a year with their children, their parents , friends or just alone .

Although everything is to a high standard, staff is very approachable and down to earth. They make sure everyone is looked after, including children. The quiet room is comfortable and there are libraries, games rooms and a private park. Attractive hiking and a hill for tobogganing right outside the hotel. Food is high quality, healthy cuisine (not suitable for vegans, but likely doable upon request). It's very clean and includes many services that make this such a relaxed place.

Hotel Jagdhaus Wiese is located high on a hill; You can take beautiful walks around the hotel, everything is well signposted. The hotel has a very nice swimming pool, jacuzzi, 2 saunas and a steam cabin. A rest area with lovely sunbeds and free tea and coffee. Everything super clean and cared for. The hotel has recently been tastefully modernized. The food is very good and the employees are very friendly. They do everything to make you happy. The atmosphere is pleasant, especially because it is not whipped up; top quality is common here.

A 4+ star establishment that is well maintained, but the type and quality of the food does not match the stars. For breakfast, you have to fill out a questionnaire at the table and write down how many slices of ham, salmon, cheese or whatever you want to eat. Then they bring it out and you can eat it. It reminded me of my stay in hospital. Being able to see the delicacies on the buffet whets your appetite and invites you to choose which appetizers you want to eat. Filling out a form is completely unsuitable for this and is not an indication of hospitality. After all, you eat with your eyes too! You can choose the evening menu, but the salad buffet that is typical in establishments of this category is not available! My main course (fish) was so salty that I could hardly eat it - but they simply took note of the complaint and did not try to make amends (as is completely normal in other hotels/restaurants). The prices are really amazing, though. The stay and the strange "hospitality" are quite expensive.

Hotel guests are now greeted with a new, spacious entrance with direct access to the new reception. The successful combination of the previous style and furniture with the new reception immediately creates a feel-good atmosphere. We were at the Jagdhaus Wiese for the first time and were very impressed by the hotel and the quiet area. The successful combination of dignified hunting lodge style with modern furnishings creates an atmosphere of well-being. Our boys (9 and 6) were particularly taken with the swimming pool. The wellness area left nothing to be desired. We really liked the breakfast concept. Fresh sausage and cheese as well as various egg dishes are brought directly to the table after ordering, while you get your own muesli (portioned in jars), rolls, fruit, etc. from the buffet. A great solution for hygiene and avoiding food waste. The all-day offer of water (bottled in glass bottles), coffee and fruit also fits in well with this. There are many other positive little things that made us feel completely at home. Special mention should be made of the always friendly and cheerful staff and the very good, varied food, which even the children got their money's worth with.
