"Friendly and tenacious hospitality. Open for lunch on Tuesdays in January, this hotel's restaurant is a welcome surprise. While passing through and a bit on the run, I was only able to taste a calamarata with squid, preceded by two exquisite bruschettas. But it was enough to convince me. Scent of fennel, very tender squid, attentive welcome. We'll see you again calmly!"

My room had very bad sound proofing with the next door bedroom and bathroom, but it was spacious and attractive. No bedside lights, although you could control the main lights from the bed."

"Few words: truly delicious in a still authentic context of the place. A few steps away is the very cute Chianalea and the seafront of Scilla. The structure has rooms and apartments with daily cleaning done by Mrs. Maria (very good and very kind), fruit always available together with the coffee machine with pods, plus a fridge and kitchen to organize a dinner to enjoy on the terrace overlooking the sea on the 2nd floor. TV both in the rooms and in the common area on the 1st floor and obviously wifi. The owner who manages the reservations is assisted by a very good collaborator, Massimo always, always available and for excursions and / or rentals the Balboascilla, in the person of Rocco who manages it, also super organized. In front there are many beaches, personally I have been to Lido Francesco, 2 minutes walk from the structure so very convenient as well as being very valid. Sorry if I have gone on too long but the Balze really deserves it, I highly recommend it, they are really good and attentive to everything. Have a good holiday!"

"This accommodation is at a great location in the middle of Chianalea, close to the dock where the daily catch comes in, many restaurants and a few shops. We were on the 3rd floor and the view was great out over the sea and of the neighborhood. In fact we could even see the Stromboli volcano! The room was very clean and the room systems up to date. The building is equipped with energy-saving measures such as the electrical system is activated when you place your key card in a slot. This is something encouraged in some locations. The only issue is that the AC shuts off when you leave and you can come back to a hot room that will take time to cool (only a problem on hot days). The owner was friendly and helpful. In fact, when could not get us a taxi, he drove us to where we needed to go (the next town) and did not want to be paid."

Sleep with the noise of waves is an experience that you can do in a few places. One of these is the bourgoise. "Came across this little gem on Airb&b and so glad we did. I messaged the owner prior to booking who responded very quickly answering my questions and was more than happy to accommodate my requests. Great location, located next to train station great for travelling about. Welcomed by a very friendly man who explained all we needed and showed us around the hotel. Great room with balcony overlooking the beach which was serviced daily. The staff here are very friendly and attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. We ate in many restaurants in scilia the others where good but this was the by far the best, complemented by a local singer who was brilliant. Our first time here and we will definitely return. Would like to say a Big thank you to all the staff for making our stay so pleasurable. Grazie a tutti , Ci vediamo a September Lots of love Laura and Stephen xx"

"Ware for one night there.First the negative the parking situation is extremely bad one has as well as no way to stop the car nearby.But may also have to do with what we were there in the high season. The fact that you have to walk away to breakfast is rather not so that our thing just left it away because we had to go to the ferry.Some guests think you should not be so noisy because they want to sleep something unfortunately not when check out possible. Positive is to say that check-in is extremely easy with pin.The rooms are excellently equipped and the location is very good.You should be good to walk because there are extreme climbs to both the beach and to the great restaurants in the It must be old town. "This B&B is located on a hill about a 15-minute walk up a fairly steep slope and stairs from Scilla Beach. Check-in was done online, and on the day of check-in, instructions were sent via WhatsApp. I don't usually use WhatsApp, so I didn't notice it and it took me about 30 minutes to get to my room. The room I stayed in was on the first floor, directly opposite the entrance, so unfortunately there was no view. The room was spacious and clean. The lighting was bright, and there were multiple power outlets, so I had no problems during my stay. My only complaint is that although breakfast was included, the designated pub opened at 8:00, and I couldn't eat there due to my train schedule. I wish they would at least open it at 7:00, or offer a slightly cheaper room-only plan. The facilities information on trip.com states that the city tax is 1 euro, but it is actually 2 euros. I only had my smartphone and card payment and no change, so I was in a bind. I think it would be good if the facilities information was corrected and if there were payment methods other than cash."

"We had the most perfect stay with Casa Vela. They had a special Luna di Miele suite for us at the very top of the B&B overlooking the sea. The hospitality we received from Alessandro was unbeatable. The food at the wine bar café was excellent. Hands down the best freshly baked chocolate croissant we have ever had. All of the staff were lovely, Natale took excellent care of us for our nightly aperitivo and digestivo."
