Isis Motel Scone ★★★
"Great location off the highway. Room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. The heater unit outside was a bit noisy but otherwise a well maintained property with friendly staff."
Strathearn Park Lodge ★★★★
"We had the worst nights sleep at Strathearn Park Lodge during our recent road trip. The bed was "very hard" and the room had an over powering odour, it was hard to describe at the time, but it made me feel ill. I have since found out that Strathearn Park Lodge is pet friendly, so I am now thinking the odour could have been in the carpet and was enhanced by the fireplace and the reverse cycle air conditioner, as the night was very cold. The lounge chair in the room was also uncomfortable, there were no springs or "give" in the seating, it was like sitting on a bench seat. A Continental Breakfast is available, the pot of tea was nice and hot as well as plentiful. Parking is under cover in a tin shed adjacent to the house. Stay very alert when looking for this place, it is located in a "100 km/h zone" on the New England Hwy from Scone to Mussellbrook as the Lodge is not readily seen from the Hwy at speed. Not even "Waze" was able to assist us. A sign 1 - 1.5kms prior would help to alert drivers."
Colonial Motor Lodge Scone ★★★
"Overall this was a great experience. Room was a great size"
Valley View Motel ★★★
"Well what a little gem of a motel. Far enough off the highway to drown out traffic noise. Reminded me of something out of a sixties movie when I drove up. Great undercover parking right outside the door. Staff were so friendly and when I rang to say I was running late they told me to have a safe trip as it was when all the traffic from the floods were driving through. When I opened the door I was met by a quaint room that was clean, fresh and welcoming. The jeweled box with the coffee and tea was a special touch and so was the coffee pod machine. The shower was to die for after driving for 8 hours in heavy traffic. Then there was the bed....wow... I collapsed on it and immediately fell asleep. I wanted to take it and the pillow home with me. I highly recommend this darling little place. I had the Paris room and loved all the pictures hanging around. I only had one little fault and that was being a little bit disabled I found it hard to get up off the toilet because of where the toilet rolls were placed so maybe a small bar on the side of the door frame would be great. The lady also put a shower chair in for me which was so wonderful. The shower was so wonderfully hot and it felt like it was massaging you. I will definitely stay again no problems at all. Thank you so very much xxx"
Scone Motor Inn & Apartments ★★★★
"We had a lovely overnight stay in Scone in a quiet and spacious room with a very comfortable firm bed and a great shower. The staff were welcoming and there was plenty of storage. Short walk to the town and shops. We would definitely stay again."
Inn Scone ★★★★
"Had a great short stay. Loved being close to the town centre and within walking distance to everything I needed to get to. The owners Jacki and Mike were so good to deal with and so helpful. The bed was extremely comfortable. Just loved the style of the room. All in all it made my experience of visiting Scone that much better. Would love to come back when the Scone Cup is on!"
Airlie House Motor Inn ★★★
"Shower was terrible. Just dribbled, temperature went from freezing to boiling randomly. Totally unacceptable. Room was basic otherwise, but clean. Location is OK, but then nowhere is far in Scone! WiFi was very slow."
Aberdeen Motel ★★★
"We stayed at the motel in late November for 3 nights The room was the largest we had stayed in for a long time. It was clean, tidy and seemed to be well appointed. Actually it was a lot better than others we have stayed in. The bed was very comfortable. there was plenty of cutlery and stuff. The fridge worked. The bathroom was a little dated but the shower was hot, had good pressure and kept the temperature constant. All in all a good room. But.... The bed was supposed to be made up each day provided nothing personal was left on the bed. It did not happen! The only service the room got was to empty one of the waste paper baskets and put milk in the fridge The TV remote was broken and when I spoke to the assistant he showed me how to operate it by pushing on some tape on one end. This worked for 5 minutes then this failed. I got around this by operating the TV from the back of the TV set. He told me that he had a new one ordered although this did not help us. The microwave could not be operated as there was problems with programming the cook time. I am reasonably proficient with this type of stuff but I had no luck. I did not contact the assistant due to reasons below. I asked the assistant about places to see. This resulted in him pointing me to the documentation in the room. I felt that he was too busy on his phone to bother with me. He seemed abrupt. These things took the edge of our stay and spoiled what could be fantastic motel if only better attention was paid by the staff and keeping the equipment operational in the room."
Portman House ★★★★
"Good sized serviced apartment with clean and tidy interior. Very close to the Coles and right on the Main Street. Parking is excellent and secure; you have to drive through a locked gate by using a pin code that is sent to you. Bed is comfortable and clean, all amenities provided. Worth a visit."
