The Seaside Oceanfront Inn

Impromptu trip to Seaside It was just Ok for just one night. Can’t see staying there for several days. My room was clean but very dated, old furniture with obvious scuffs & scratches. Windows were disabled so unable to open. Ice machine didn’t work. Layout of this self described boutique hotel is odd - hallways are dark & narrow. As solo traveler, I wasn’t impressed with over all building security.

The hotel room was nicely decorated with beautiful outdoor views, but the experience was awful! The bathtub wouldn’t hold water, and the shower drain was severely clogged, forcing our family to awkwardly wash in the tub. We called the front desk, but no one answered. At checkout, we raised the issue, and they promised the owner would contact us—never happened. When we complained via *******, the hotel denied the clog, claiming the property was newly renovated and they were unaware of any issue. Utterly unacceptable service. Do not recommend!

Property is in renovation mode. The views form the room are amazing. But we found some hairs in the bedroom.

Maintenance Needed We were so excited to stay in a penthouse room with the dark green quirky bathroom in the loft, but right away we noticed a huge crack in the center picture window, which caused a failed seal and a lot of condensation to obstruct the view. We were also concerned with our small children touching it in case it caused the crack to worsen, or get injured by it, as the crack ran from edge to edge in the pane. Additionally, the upstairs sink, which is in the loft that is open to the rest of the room, had a significant drip- which dripped nonstop- and made it a very unrestful night. I think this room has a lot of potential, but unfortunately those two maintenance items caused significant comfort issues. There shouldn't be any drippy faucets with such a high per night rate. The location is fantastic, we just wish those two maintenance issues would be addressed. I think it would have been a great stay otherwise. One more note- the restaurant in the ground floor closed permanently, and the space is currently under construction. They started work around 8am, so the noise shouldn't impact you unless you plan to sleep in late.

Last minute Check in was amazingly easy. Parking was across the street but fir the view that was perfectly fine. Quiet building and no issues with checking in or finding our room. I was very happy with the room and the stay. We literally booked our room at 4:15pm from the restraunt and then walked right over and checked in.

The location is good and that's about it. The house is really old and our room was dated. Fireplace didn't work, water made terrible noise coming out of taps, coffee machine didn't work and I wouldn't drink any coffee coming out of that machine. Window glass was broken and felt they weren't cleaned in a while as well. Overall disappointed.
