"The harbor in his hometown of Kaohsiung gave him infinite tolerance and sustenance, guiding him to brave the waves." The founder of the brand, who started in the clothing industry, firmly believes that good accommodation can anchor travelers, and rest can prepare for tomorrow. Papa Hotel established its first base in front of Kaohsiung Railway Station, welcoming countless beautiful scenery gathered here. Eight years later, it moved to the Pier 2 Art Zone to revitalize the former Port Authority "Waiting Room", an important site in Kaohsiung, and continue Taiwan's cultural heritage. Through a deep understanding of Kaohsiung's urban spirit, love for hometown, and persistence in dreams, To create a pure and encouraging place for travelers to settle down, Kaohsiung’s new city facade was born.是
"Check-in and check-out were very smooth, with the front desk staff being friendly and efficient. There's a coffee corner on the first floor, but to my dismay, when I wanted a drink in the morning, there were no coffee beans at all! It was there, but unusable.
On the other hand, there are water dispensers on each floor, which is very convenient for refilling water. The water pressure in the room's shower was excellent, making for a very comfortable shower experience. (Though, for some reason, the water pressure at the sink was really weak...)
However, the blackout curtains in the room have a serious design flaw. They don't fully block out the sunlight, leaving significant gaps on both sides. Around 6 AM, intense light streams directly onto the pillow and headboard, making it impossible to go back to sleep. My sleep quality was severely affected for several consecutive days, which greatly diminished an otherwise good stay. I suggest the hotel install more effective blackout curtains (they really need to completely cover the window without any gaps) to ensure guests can enjoy a good resting environment, even at dawn."
