Last minute booking for one night. Lovely warn welcome on arrival and excellent customer service throughout. Well appointed rooms and brilliant bathroom. Would high recommend staying at Plato's.

We stayed for 2 nights B&B. The room was small but had everything we needed. It was on the second floor with no lift but the staff helped us carry our cases. Breakfast was superb - beautiful fruit and yoghurt muesli to start and an extensive menu of cooked options all freshly cooked. There is no parking on site but a permit is given for a car park a few minutes walk away.

I organised a celebration lunch here for 18 people and we had a wonderful afternoon. The service was friendly and efficient, the food was delicious and well-presented, and the cocktails were fab! When the team needed to rearrange the dining area for the evening service, they kindly set up tables for us in the cosy wine cellar so we could continue our festivities without having to move on and try to find somewhere else that could accommodate us all. Highly recommended.

Always a pleasure to visit and stay at Plato’s The staff immediately make you feel welcome. All aspects of the hotel are first class- rooms, restaurant, bar- and the ambiance is first class. Jess, mine host, is brilliant and makes you so welcome

Luxury B&B with a fabulous restaurant. Staff are excellent and make you feel very welcome. Breakfast was excellent great produce used. Bar is lively and lovely outdoor seating area. No noise from bar heard in room. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Jan 2024 visit not June (our second). I'm late writing my review Arrival and check-in were very smooth; the staff accommodated us well, taking our cases upstairs and switching rooms when they noticed my mother-in-law struggled with the stairs. The room was bijou (standard room) but beautiful. The quality of the bed sheets, duvet, and pillows was exquisite. This was a winter break, and we enjoyed sitting in comfortable armchairs in front of the wood-burning stove. Later, we wandered to the high street to shop and returned to fantastic food, lovely wine, and excellent service. Not our first visit, and it won't be our last. 3 nights / 4 days of great hospitality, thank you Disliked nothing.

The breakfast was very good all freshly cooked, we had one evening Meal and again it was really nice, the staff were brilliant. Very well located and very clean, a brilliant 3 nights, only complete was the taps in the sink were very slow and difficult to change from hot and cold, but that’s just a minor complaint,

This is a excellent friendly hotel. Location is perfect for Kirkby Lonsdale and surrounding areas. The staff were so friendly and made us feel very welcomed. The room was spotless with plenty of refreshments and biscuits. The breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked, really tasty. Again the morning staff and chef made us feel very welcome. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again. Thank you to all staff.

Our 3 rd stay at Plato’s, so you can guess we like it ! This is a great little hotel right in the centre of beautiful Kirkby Lonsdale. Ideally located for exploring the Lake District or even better the Yorkshire Dales. Family run, it provides guests with superb service in a relaxed atmosphere. Rooms are very comfortable. Quality beds too. There’s a small bar with a great selection of draught beers and good wines. Food here is delicious. Our breakfasts have been top quality. Superbly cooked with quality ingredients. We can’t vouch for evening meals but understand they are of the same high quality. Special mention to Arina. This is multitasking at its highest level, with a great smile and positive attitude. She is Great. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel - it’s a gem !
