Ibis Bridgwater ★★★

📍 Woodlands Court Business Park, Bristol Rd, Bridgwater Without

"Apart from not giving small toothbrush and toothpaste, amenities are ok. Not enough lighting system at night in the room and thus will be tricky for study (like staying the night before exam but rare occasion, isn’t it) otherwise, nice room and smell"

Best Western the Webbington Hotel and Spa
7.3 (106 reviews)

Best Western the Webbington Hotel and Spa ★★★

📍 Webbington Rd, Compton Bishop

"This is a bit out of the way but OK if you are touring the area. A rather faded Edwardian large hotel that is in need of a bit of renovation and redecoration to bring it up to standard. Our room was a bit small and showing its age. The staff were friendly"

Fox and Goose Inn

Fox and Goose Inn ★★★

📍 Bristol Rd, Brent Knoll

"It was after 9 pm when we arrived but check in was swift. We were on the second floor - no lifts if you have a walking problem). We overlooked the main road. Large room, table with two chairs and a really comfortable bed. There was no radiators in the room so it was cool in the room when arrived. There was an electric radiator which we plugged in and soon warmed up . Plenty of teas and coffee and two really nice packets of biscuit. The shower is over the bath. There is a car park at the front and one at the back - bit muddy but we had had a lot of rain. A pleasant experience and would stay again."

The Walnut Tree Hotel ★★★
"The hotel is situated on the busy A38 but is not affected by traffic noise. All the staff are polite and considerate and go the extra mile to provide good service The food is outstanding ; beautifully presented and prepared. And it tastes great too! Good bar too which is imp because there’s little else to find a drink in the village. Ideal for short or longer stays if you have a car. Taunton is clos for good shopping and the Somerset levels a dozen miles away. I’d stay there again anytime."

Fox and Goose Inn ★★★
"We found the Fox & Goose last year when we drove by and noticed they were open for breakfast. We had THE most amazing breakfast ever, (as a B&B owner I don't say that often!) We had a nice welcome, the room was warm, spacious and had everything we needed. It was just a short stopover following a flight into Bristol airport before driving back to Cornwall. We had a pleasant meal in the restaurant which had a nice atmosphere. The room was surprisingly quiet with very little road noise, the bed was a bit too soft for us but we had a reasonable night sleep. Spoke to 3 members of staff at check out who were lovely, one even remembered me from last year! We are booked to stay again in February, it is excellent value for money. Hugely disappointed that breakfast is now a buffet, having spoken to staff I understand why they are doing that now, but we only booked as we were looking forward to the breakfast we enjoyed last year. Fingers crossed it will revert back by February!! LOL "

The Lawns Tea Room and B&B ★★
"Combining a weekend of shopping at Street and visiting the RSPB Ham Wall reserve The Lawns was an idea place to stay. Simon gave us a friendly welcome and made sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Our was clean an comfortable. The highlight of the visit was the breakfast. There was a good variety of cereals and the inclusion of fresh fruit was wonderful. The "full English" was delicious, cooked to order and arrived piping hot to the table. We have no hesitation to staying at the Lawns again."
