Good Hope Hotel Reviews

First time staying at the hotel. Lobby has no aircon and feels stuffy and warm when we arrived in the afternoon at about 3pm. The carpark has a damp smell too. Room is relatively clean and slightly big (at least not those super cramp type of rooms). No central aircon in the room but a standalone aircon which took a while to cool down the room (I set at 16 degrees full speed) when we first entered. Noisy place where you can hear noisy motorbikes revving their engine as they rode along in the middle of the night. TV channels were limited though don't understand how come half the channels have no images at all. One strange thing that I encountered for my first time while staying in a hotel. It was past 1am when I was woken up by some guests who came back late and could hear them talking along the corridor. Fine..no big deal. Then...when one of the guests took the shower, you can hear a loud wooooooong sound continously throughout the shower. It was like you turn on your tap and there is a hollow pipe noise that will sound continuously till you turn off the tap. That was the sound. It was loud and it lasted about 5 mins. Guess that was the time it took for that hotel guest to take his or her shower. It was freaking loud 😭. Breakfast was simple and quite ok for the price. Nothing to shout about.

Cost effective overnight stay. Clean and simple. Few restaurants and mamak stalls around. Have to drive to nereast happening area. There is a Spa inside hotel.

We had a great stay. But a little dusty in the room. No toothbrush set. Breakfast was good. There were halal restaurants around the vicinity.

Everything also good and goos location and simply everything .

Clean and comfortable room. In accordance with the price and customer service that greatly facilitates customer affairs. Beautiful hotel in the city area. Will stay again. Very recommended

Not really the best place to stay. From the parking lot and the walk up to the lobby,to the shabby corridors and room was just giving off creepy vibes. Breakfast, was average. I wish I had pics to share but wasn't just a very hurried stay just needed a place to sleep and refresh before heading out for business. Not recommended for leisure or vacation stays.

Just an okay hotel. Staying there for one night only. Room are spacious, breakfast are good.

This hotel is situated near to Skudai Highway and it is only 20 min to Johor Bahru Sentral

"The location of the hotel was great, and the room was spacious, which made for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was decent, though there could be improvements. Unfortunately, cleanliness wasn't up to standard as there was noticeable dust and even a small cockroach inside the room, which was a bit concerning."

The room was dusty and got flu and washroom pipe was noisy . No toothbrush provided and if requested for two person only one given . Security system was good and receptionist was good too .

For a boutique hotel, I put this hotel above my expectations. The room and bathroom were clean & big enough. Toothbrush, toothpaste & safety box not provided. It's okay for me. Parking at the basement was free, I needed to verify the T&G card at the reception counter before exiting. Breakfast spread - delicious & quite a lot of choices. Got Nasi Lemak, Mee Goreng, baked beans, noodle soup, porridge, bread section, cakes, pudding, fruits, cereal & milk, coffee tea & fruit punch. Got a small pool at third flr, but I didn't see anyone swimming.

No toothbrush and toothpaste provided. WiFi signal is weak. Spa not open. Room facing an abandoned shopping mall. Only reason to stay here is if everywhere else is book. Price point is high for what it provides. But the service is good. Maybe cause I came on a public holiday, the cost is 66 SGD 1 night. Trip and the hotel both charge me tourism tax, have to ctc Cs for a refund of the tax. Stayed better hotels. But this is ok for fuss free people who just want a place to sleep.
