"Stayed for 5 days of skiing with my husband. It was a wonderful experience. Fab location (ski in/out), beautiful design, super comfortable, great wellness area, lovely food, extraordinary service. First winter visit to the Dolomites, but will not be the last. Highly recommend."

"Beautiful hotel and spa! In the spa you can find various kinds of sauna, whirpool and indoor and outdoor pool + relax area. I had a great massage from Marlene - highly recommended! I will definately come back again. They have spa package also for those who don’t stay at the hotel!"

Residence Antares ★★★

📍 Str. Meisules, 195, Selva di Val Gardena

"It’s a well-located hotel for skiing with clean and comfortable rooms and nice lobby areas and great view from the private sauna post skiing. But the hotel missed the mark in several ways and i wouldn’t come back or recommend to friends. - parking is not included if you book through trip.com but you learn about it when you check out. - very inflexible booking (we tried changing booking for same dates but with different rooms and they were being so unreasonable and inconsistent. They left such unpleasant taste) - hotel layout is very confusing and cumbersome when carrying so many equipments - given the layout i suggest someone in the hotel helps arriving guests find their way in and out. - you feel very nickle-and-dimed for using the amenities in a hotel like this one. For example the sauna, parking. And you have to book to just use the pool. There is washing liquid but no dishwasher tablet. Small details but made a bit of difference for my experience. - front desk service felt inconsistent. Some were very helpful and some were very cold."

📍 Streda Puez, 24/b, Selva di Val Gardena

"I booked a Deluxe Double Room through Trip.com, but the room I received was a standard looking room with two single beds and did not match the photos or description. When I spoke to the front desk, they blamed Trip.com and made little effort to resolve the issue at first. They also said a bathtub had to be requested in advance, although this was not mentioned during booking. After about 10 minutes, they changed my room to the one I had booked, but the experience was still frustrating and disappointing."

Linder Cycling Hotel

Linder Cycling Hotel ★★★

📍 S.da Nives, 36, Selva di Val Gardena

"Our second hotel in the Dolomites was the Linder Cycling Hotel. It's a fairly large hotel with an underground car park, a swimming pool, and a sauna. The heated pool, though small, was lovely. The breakfast was excellent, with a chef seemingly preparing the dishes, and the service was great. Both the bread and cookies were delicious. Overall, we were very satisfied with the meals, facilities, and room condition."

"We spent 3 nights in a suite with the most amazing views of the alpine meadows and mountains. The room was beautifully appointed. The food was outstanding. Breakfast was amazing and the dinners were even more so. We also ate at the Gourmet rest and had a very memorable evening. Only regret is that we had to leave"

Hotel Somont ★★★★

📍 Via Ciampinei 34, Selva di Val Gardena

"We arrived at 7:00 pm and were immediately given our rooms, which was appreciated after a long travel day. We had one larger room and one smaller room, but they were quite similar in size. Both were on the first floor and included balconies. We reserved garage parking for €10 per day, which I strongly recommend. It is absolutely worth the cost, especially in winter conditions. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. One set of windows has automatic blackout shades, while the other has traditional curtains. I need complete darkness to sleep, and I had no problem making the room fully dark. The shower is small but sufficient for an adult. Water pressure was strong. One evening, after returning from après-ski around 7:00 pm, we had cold water for our showers. After that, we assumed it is better to shower earlier in the day. In the mornings, we had no issues with hot water. Breakfast is very good and includes everything you would expect from a ski hotel. The only things missing were an espresso machine and made-to-order egg options such as omelets or fried eggs. The coffee served is American-style filter coffee, average to my taste, no almond milk, but they had oat and soy type milk. The ski room is excellent. Each room has its own private heated locker, which keeps boots and gloves warm and dry. There is also an elevator that takes you up with your skis directly to the blue slope. Ski-out is convenient, although we were not initially guided on the best way to reach the main Ciampinoi lift. One option is to ski down the blue slope from the hotel to the gate and then walk about 300 feet, roughly seven minutes, to the gondola. On the third day, we discovered a better option: taking two T-bar lifts that allow you to ski directly down to the gondola without removing your skis. You only need to take your skis off if you are heading toward the Costabella lift to access the orange Sella Ronda trails. Ski-in is slightly less convenient. You take the Ciampinoi 5 trail and then an older three-person chairlift that brings you back to the blue slope leading to the hotel. For intermediate skiers and above, both ski-in and ski-out are very manageable. Another highlight is the wellness area. The indoor pool is warm and pleasant, though on the smaller side. Next to it is a jacuzzi with water jets and air bubbles. However, during our stay, the jacuzzi was cooler than the pool, approximately 65°F, which was surprising. The sauna area is the real standout: there is a steam room, a dry sauna, and a large 90°C sauna, all very well maintained. They also provide dried fruits and two types of tea, which you can enjoy in the quiet relaxation room. The hotel is very close to the popular après-ski spot Stua, which runs from 3:30 to 6:30 pm, and about a seven-minute walk to the center of town. One final note that reflects the level of care from the management: as we were checking out and already seated in the car, ready to drive away, the general manager ran outside and"

Villa Insam

📍 La Selvastrasse, 67, Selva

"We’re on our last night of staying at Villa Insam in Selva di Val Gardena for the past week and can’t recommend it enough. The room is really comfortable and clean, shower is nice and hot, and there’s even a clothesline on the balcony which has been super handy for washing hiking gear. The host Luisa has been incredibly helpful and gracious the whole time. When we got back from our 3-day hut-to-hut trek, she made sure we got the same room we’d loved before which was so thoughtful. We’ve leaned on her local knowledge to figure out bus schedules and other logistics for our day hikes. The hotel is situated in the quiet part of the village, with a nice walking path that drops you into the village center in about 15 minutes. It’s been a wonderful stay and we can’t recommend Villa Insam enough. FYI, we booked through Mont Trekking (they’re great too) and lucked into being booked here. If you’re doing a Val Gardena trekking itinerary with them, just ask them to book your stay at Villa Insam. We definitely plan to come back and stay here again."

Hotel Tyrol

"My daughters and I loved the Hotel Tyrol, a family-owned hotel with friendly service. It has an indoor/outdoor pool and a large indoor pool perfect for laps, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, sauna, and so on. (I didn't visit the spa or gym). We enjoyed sitting outside on loungers by the outdoor pool in the afternoons; it's a lovely spot. We did not try the Michelin-starred restaurant on site but greatly enjoyed our breakfasts and two dinners at the other restaurant, which has very friendly service. My daughter said that the cocktails she had here were the best of our visit to the Dolomites. The excellent bartender suggested she try a Hugo, which ended up being her favorite. This area of the Dolomites was our favorite - we found it to be the most beautiful. We had a nice view from our hotel room. If we return to this area we would return to the Hotel Tyrol."

Boutique Hotel Nives - Luxury & Design in the Dolomites

"We recently had a delightful three-night stay at the Boutique Hotel Nives while hiking in the Val Gardena region. It was a pleasure to return to this hotel after a wonderful ski holiday we had enjoyed many years ago. The exceptional service and the delectable food, wine, and hospitality provided by the Linder family were truly memorable. Upon our return, we were thrilled to discover that their outstanding service continues to thrive within their expanded and beautifully curated hotel facilities. We savored three sumptuous dinners in their elegant restaurant and indulged in the relaxing spa after our hikes. The hotel’s convenient location on Strada Nives is a major advantage. It offers easy access to multiple ski lifts and trail access points, via bus transportation. To simplify our local travel, the hotel provided us with a digital bus pass that was valid throughout our stay, making boarding easy. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Linder family and team for another wonderful stay and look forward to our next visit."

Hotel Portillo Dolomites 1966'

"I recently visited the Portillow for a 5 night stay with my wife and 2 college aged daughters for a ski trip. My family found it to be an absolutely wonderful property. We had 2 rooms, one with a queen and the other 2 separate beds for the girls. They were very spacious and tastefully decorated, with wonderful bathrooms and a great sunset view. The entire hotel was gorgeous and all of the staff we interacted with were extremely polite, accomodating and very friendly. The hotel has an enormous spa area. The indoor pool was surrounded by italian paintings and statues and cushioned chairs/beds to relax on. There was another outdoor pool, steam room, and a sauna. We used it daily and it was really wonderful. Only suggestions I might offer would be to keep it open later. It closed at 7:30 at night so made it difficult to ski, then apres ski, then make it back to use the spa before going back out for dinner. First world probelms! But if it was open until 9 or 10 I know we would have taken advantage of it after dinner. We had dinner in their gourmet restaurant one of the nights and it was very good. Also visited daily for breakfast before skiing. They had a great buffet with an assortment of local pastries, fresh fruits, granolas, meats and cheese, etc. There is also a really good restaurant right across the street that is super convenient to eat at. A covered garage was available to store the rental car we brought from Venice. We used it a bit to explore but otherwise the hotel ran a regular shuttle to and from the ski mountain. Having traveled a fair amount and living in a resort area ourselves, I found the Portillo to be an amazing property. Highly recommend it to anyone travelling to the Dolomites!"

Hotel Miravalle Hotels in Selva

Hotel Miravalle

"We just returned from a week at Miravalle Hotel, travelling with family and friends, staying respectively in Rooms 302 (Suite Tirolese) and 201 (Suite Blu). This hotel style Chalet is situated on top of a small hill, allowing guests to ski-in/ski-out directly from the modern, well-equipped ski lockers. Each locker has heated sticks for boots, together with bathroom facilities and a direct private lift using your own key card room to get in and out. ROOMS: Our two Suites had large balconies with stunning South/West views of the village and mountains, with plenty of sun (when the weather is good, which was the case when we stayed there). The suites had plenty of wardrobes/storage which came helpful when traveling with families. The beds were comfortable, with a sofa bed for our teenagers. Bathrooms came with plenty of towels changed every day, and additional SPA towels to use in the pool and sauna/steam room which you dispose of in the SPA area and they are replaced every day in your room the next morning. The hotel also provides shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion, replenish every day, but we brought our own so we didn't use many of these. The rooms were also equipped with an undercounter fridge which was very helpful to store our water, etc. While Miravalle doesn't provide a so-called "Mini Bar" in the room, you will find a local supermarket, Despar, just an 8 minute walk away, where you can get anything you need to store for your week skiing. SPA/POOL: The SPA area is quite stunning. It occupies an entire floor, which not only consists of a beautiful indoor/outdoor pool, but also offers several treatment rooms, two saunas, steamed room, relaxing room with water beds, herbal tea & water facilities, and so on. I had 3 treatments during my stay and my teenage daughter booked one too, and the therapist made everything possible to bring a relaxing experience. Such a treat after a day skiing. BREAKFAST/DINNER: We booked the "Half Board" basis for our week. The buffet breakfast is plenty, from Italian cured meats to fresh fruits, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, cheeses, Italian cakes (so delicious), croissants, all sort of breads, cereals, teas (from the normal English tea to a large selection of very healthy tea options), coffee, etc. They cater for everyone and it is impossible to leave hungry. Now, when it comes to dinner time, the Hotel Miravalle certainly didn't disappoint: not only we had a "starter buffet" every night, which consisted of Italian cured meats (in all different sorts), cooked vegetables, potato salad, artichokes, balsamic onions, beetroot, and the list doesn't end, but all of this also included a four / five course dinner on top to follow, such as an Antipasti, First Course, Second Course, Cheese Tray, and Dessert. Every night differed and you only had to select your next dinner menu on the following morning, choosing between several options. Since we travelled with a child suffering from severe nut allerg"

"Great hotel for the perfect blend of warm hospitality, location, and amenities. This family-run hotel in the Sellaronda ski area is an absolute find. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and attention to detail that only a family-run hotel can provide. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the Dolomites, with easy access to the ski slopes, making it an ideal base for exploring the Sellaronda circuit. We did the half board for the week since after full days of skiing our preference is to have dinner at the hotel. Each night dinner quality, service and variety were perfect. After a day on the slopes, the wellness area was a perfect retreat. From saunas to relaxation spaces, it was a great way to relax after a great day of skiing. Overall, this hotel combines the best of family-run hospitality with high-quality services and an unbeatable location."

"We have had the most delightful stay here. This b&b is cozy and bursting with charm. It’s owned by a local family and you can tell they have poured their heart into every detail. The lobby and rooms are full of art by local artisans, and it’s refreshing to stay somewhere with so much heritage. The views cannot be beat. The hotel is in a very quiet location and a stone’s throw from the ski lift. The south facing rooms on the west side of the building have a particularly smashing view of the mountains. There are also fabulous amenities, such as hot tubs, lots of outdoor seating, a trampoline and a spa, yet the hotel is still small and intimate. Breakfast is an amazing spread complete with soft boiled eggs, fresh squeezed, juices, and bread with fresh honeycomb. We’ve also opted to eat dinner in every night and it’s always an impeccable 4 course meal. The owners even take the effort to switch out the table scape and theme every night. I’m so impressed by the level of love and the attention to detail that they have for this place."

"We had such a fantastic week skiing in Val Gardena, and staying at your beautiful hotel made it even better. Your kindness, hospitality, and all the great tips on where to ski (and where to eat!) really made our trip special. We looked forward to your advice every single day. Tami and I absolutely loved exploring the Selva area, but honestly, what we’ll remember most is how warm and welcoming you and your team were. You helped create a memory we’ll hold onto for a long time. You, your staff, and your hotel get an easy 10/10 from us. We really hope to see you both again in 2028!"

Romantik & Family Hotel Gardenia Hotels in Selva

Romantik & Family Hotel Gardenia

"We were a group of seven, a mix of family and friends, on a skiing trip to Val Gardena, and the experience was outstanding. The hotel is located just 150 meters from the Col Raiser ski lift, and you can ski almost all the way back to the front entrance, which was incredibly convenient. Ski storage is well organized, with personal lockers that include heating for boots and gloves, a small detail that made a big difference after long days on the slopes. The gym is well equipped and had everything we needed, and the hot tubs were perfect for relaxing in the afternoons. We stayed with breakfast and dinner included, and the food quality exceeded expectations. Dinner was a four course meal every evening, consistently excellent. Our host, Carmelo, was exceptionally kind and professional. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable and well taken care of. He provided especially thoughtful service to my wife, who is pregnant, ensuring that all meals were completely pregnancy friendly. On our departure day, despite our early morning checkout before breakfast hours, he made sure we had breakfast and water bottles ready for us, which was very much appreciated. We rented our ski equipment from Intersport in St. Christina and received a 10 percent discount through the hotel. On departure, we simply left the equipment in the changing room, and Intersport collected it the following morning, making the whole process effortless. We truly could not have wished for more. Everything was perfect, and we would happily return."

"Excellent hotel, lovely rooms, friendly staff, yummy food. We stayed with a group of friends to ski Sunday - Saturday and it was a terrific experience. Very comfortable bed, WONDERFUL shower, fabulous sauna/steam facilities. We dined together at a large table at the end of the restaurant each morning and night. The only slight downside was the menu didn't change very much each day, however the food was delicious and the service was fantastic. The breakfast buffet has many options and the chef is happy to make eggs just for you if you'd prefer. The pastries were excellent. The ski locker room is handy and once you figure out how to ski back it's very conveniently located. Highly recommend."

"We had an amazing time! The hotel is beautiful and the spa is amazing, as are the treatments- I had 2. The food is great with a huge selection- half board has both menu options and buffet options, all included. Bar /lounge area is fun also with a huge selection. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the service of all of the staff is wonderful and feels very family like. After a few days the waiters knew what we liked to drink and had it waiting for us at the table!! The hotel has everything you need for family or romantic getaway with lots of activities and options. The area that the hotel is located in is small and not central so outings are limited in walking distance- which for us was great. Aside from skiing, we didn’t leave the hotel, a huge bonus when you don’t want to have to walk around to find a restaurant every night like we usually do with other places!! The staff will drive you to and pick you up from 3 very convenient locations for ski making the hotel super easy for skiing. You can rent gear from the hotel and they give you lockers so nothing is needed from outside the hotel. There is also a way to ski back to the hotel if you want. We left at 3am and there was a HUGE breakfast box waiting for us to take with us as well as a printed birthday greeting and gift for my husband (the day we left was his birthday- I didn’t mention it, they noticed from his passport and did this themselves). What a lovely, friendly, family feel but luxury hotel. Everything you need for a perfect ski vacation!!"

"We stayed in a family room for four with two children, and it was very comfortable. The room had a fully equipped kitchen with a dining table, making it easy to prepare meals. There was also a supermarket within a 5-minute walk, which was very convenient. The kitchen included everything we needed, including dishwashing supplies and paper towels. The swimming pool requires advance booking and each session lasts 60 minutes. You can collect the keycard to access the pool 5 minutes before your reserved time. The pool was fantastic, with a waterfall, water jets, and a jacuzzi. Our kids absolutely loved it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

It was also super handy for the Dantercepies gondola and for walks into the Vallunga valley. Loved the blackout shades which made for a great night's sleep. "The hotel is very convenient for skiing, with spacious, clean rooms and a lovely heated pool area, but the big disappointment was the food. It was the end of the season, but in a 4-star hotel, you can't expect to find a few pieces of pre-sliced cake, a single type of empty, frozen brioche, two pieces of stale tart from days before, four pieces of pancakes for breakfast—nothing was replenished; you had the impression of having only a few leftovers from the previous day. The evening buffet consisted of a few raw vegetables, a few slices of cheese, and three grilled vegetables: peppers, zucchini, and eggplant—the same ones every night, never a variation. The young waitresses lacked empathy, rushing the dishes without saying a word or even a smile. The manager was very cold and rude; as soon as we arrived, she rushed us to choose our dishes from the menu without even giving us time to read it. Even the dinner dishes weren't up to the standard of a 4-star establishment, with few typical dishes, nothing reminiscent of Easter, not even a little egg on the table, and an inedible lemon sorbet for dessert... we definitely don't recommend it!"
