I would highly recommend to stay at La Fabrègues. The rooms are exceptionally well decorated and spacious, and we loved have a kitchen. As well, the house is absolutely beautiful. We had a lovely before-dinner drink in the historic living room as well as a dinner outside in the garden. The hosts were very helpful in terms of advice on what to see and itineraries. It was a memorable stay.

I prefer hotels over B&B’s but this one was really cool. It’s an old farmhouse with part of the building dating back 400 years old. The couple who run it are quite friendly and chatty. Had a very nice breakfast conversation with them. The confiture was made by one of the owner’s mom which was a nice touch. The location is peaceful and idyllic. Fresh country air and country quiet. About a 5 minute drive into the town of Estaing. The owners were very friendly. Room was comfortable and clean.

Une belle surprise que cette halte dans une vieille bâtisse restée dans son jus, pleine de charme et d’authenticité. L’ambiance était conviviale et familiale, rythmée par les échanges entre marcheurs du chemin de Saint-Jacques, tous attablés sous la tonnelle autour d’un grand repas préparé par le patron lui-même, agréable et accueillant. Le dîner, servi à la bonne franquette sur une grande table de ferme, favorise les discussions spontanées. Moi qui craignais un peu ce genre d’ambiance de groupe, j’ai finalement été conquis par la qualité des échanges : on a vraiment l’impression de passer une soirée en famille. La nuit s’est passée dans une chambre très correcte, située dans les dépendances à côté de la maison. Et le lendemain matin, petit déjeuner dans la grande cuisine commune, toujours avec les autres hôtes, autour de produits locaux. En résumé : une expérience humaine, simple, sincère… et en plus, à un prix très abordable. À recommander à ceux qui aiment les rencontres et l’authenticité !

Manoir restauré avec élégance et dans le respect du patrimoine - mais surtout un excellent accueil qui restera un des points « hauts » de notre semaine de marche sur le chemin de Compostelle. Merci de votre générosité et de votre flexibilité en faisant « le taxi » entre Estaing et le manoir à plusieurs reprises en quelques heures.
