Snowflower Guesthouse

The room was incredibly tiny, with just one window facing the hallway. The shared bathroom outside was manageable, but the hygiene was absolutely appalling. I found two bugs on the bed and duvet; I thought they were dead until they disappeared when I went to throw them out. They were alive and crawling around on the bed. The cleanliness was unbelievably bad.

This place is perfect for backpackers! Even though the single rooms are small, they come with a fridge, and there's 24-hour food service with free-flowing drinks and ice cream. Downstairs, you'll find a supermarket, convenience store, Olive Young, Daiso, a bus stop, and Hyehwa subway station – super convenient. Best of all, it's right on Daehak-ro (University Street), which is great for eating and shopping, and it gets really lively at night, especially with so many beautiful people from the nearby universities! You can also hike Naksan Mountain to see the Seoul city and ancient fortress walls, and Dongdaemun is just a short walk away. It's hard not to want to stay here!

Excellent access from the airport, and close to Myeongdong and Dongdaemun, I think it's convenient for getting anywhere. I'm traveling solo and just need a place to sleep, so I've used this hotel many times for its great value and cleanliness. They also have an all-you-can-eat breakfast with curry, ramen, and toast. There's a market downstairs, and even a small Olive Young and Daiso. It's really small, but I think it's good.
