Hotel the May Jongno Reviews

The room was spacious enough for two people to have all their luggage open with no problem. It even had a bathtub and breakfast included. I loved that they had eggs for breakfast! The front desk staff was also incredibly kind. On the morning of January 8th, I went downstairs for a smoke and coughed a couple of times as I walked out the door. The front desk attendant immediately brought me a warm, freshly brewed grapefruit tea. It was so comforting on a cold day. I'm truly grateful to the front desk attendant.

Location is quite convenient but wouldn’t recommend for families with young kids given the pocha around with drunken crowds. They do daily basic room cleaning (change of towels, replenishing of water & coffee sache). They made our beds the first 2 days and subsequently only changed towels & water. we paid for 3 pax but towels, water & coffee only catered for 2 pax. you have to request for an additional towel daily at the reception area

Booked a double room, and it was quite clean. The downsides were that there's no door in the bathroom (definitely don't book if you want to take a bath!), the showerhead was broken, and the toilet seat was broken. They did move us to another room, but the toilet seat in the new room was still broken, and there was only one box of tissues.

Overall, a great experience! The hotel staff were really friendly and didn't treat me differently just because I'm a foreigner. The early check-in luggage storage service was also super convenient – it was such a relief not to have to drag my bags around everywhere, totally freeing up my hands!

We had a pleasant stay over here for 4 nights, the room is clean, near to the metro station, a lot of restaurants nearby, (walking distance). It's very convenient and the hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. Good job!

It was clean and cozy. The room was small, but perfect for two. The toilet was very comfortable and warm :) I also liked the buffet, thank you! The location is very convenient.

Pros : near to subway Jongno3, restaurants, local nightlife drinking place Cons : staff lack of courtesy, impoliteness, unprofessional hotel staff, lack of hotel management experience. Hotel is in an alley. Hotel Building is near to each other, air circulation is not that good. Not convenient for those who wants to take a taxi, especially with luggages. Noisy place especially in night time, nightlife, drunk people are everywhere. No toothpaste and toothpaste. Broken Rubber Slippers in bedroom is not changeable not sure for how long.🥲 Very Limited breakfast of choice. High Price doesn't worth to the hotel rooms, amenities and services. You can find 4 or 5 stars hotels with better prices and qualities in myeongdong compared with Hotel The May Jongno.
