* Excellent location, bus stops right in front of hotel (15min bus to CoEX, 20min to Seongsu), Sinsa metro station is short walk down the road
* 7Eleven downstairs is a godsend for late night snacks and T-money top ups
* Tip: there is a very reasonably priced airport shuttle bus service (#6703) short walk from hotel that takes you to/from Incheon Airport
* Slap bang in Sinsa-dong / Garosu-gil districts, all convenience stores, restaurants, cafes, shopping areas are many and all short walking distance (and the shopping around this area, is superior)
* High water pressure shower & smart electronic toilets
* Daily replenishment of mineral water, pumpkin & chamomile teas
* I requested daily replacement of towels and bed linen change - this was done throughout my stay which I appreciated
* Every morning waking up to seeing the skyline of Seoul out my window was my favourite wake-up ritual and reminds me how much I love this city
* Welcome desk is happy to help, smart, effective - they really take care of you
-
* Staying for 12 days, notice the inconsistency of cleaning staff, sometimes my room is immaculate, particularly on weekends attention to detail on cleanliness lacks
* Despite Gangnam location and smart, artsy exterior of the hotel, the actual rooms is no frills, budget style for what you pay for
* Understand the eco initiatives of the hotel but giving boxes of soaps is very un-luxury, I had to buy and use my own shampoo & shower gel to last me for 2 weeks
* Interior of the hotel rooms in closer inspection, such as the walls, ceilings, behind the beds and some of the amenities in the rooms (like the pyjamas, towels, kettle, hairdryer..) all are looking very tired and used out
* Instead of pyjamas (that are very worn out by previous guests) - traditional dressing gown and slippers would be a better touch, I had them removed as with the unnecessary tote bag that makes the room look messy and gather dust when it's not used
* Despite convenient location, I didn't do my research but where the hotel is located, there are a lot of 'hunting bars' - so during my stay let's say, ahem, people couldn't wait to get into their rooms to 'get it on' so you can hear EVERYTHING in the hallways if people are loud. This was a reason why I asked to be moved higher up on the hotel as being woken up at 5AM, jetlagged to hell did not help my comfort levels. I was very honest with management however and they did move me swiftly, admitting to some same-night stay guests that often use this hotel - if you're a family or a sensitive lone-traveller like myself, I would ask for quieter places to stay in the hotel as let's just say, some of the clientiele here use this hotel for 'adult' purposes
* You can sometimes smell sewage from the shower drain
* If you stay here as long as I did, clothes can only be hung up near where the sink is with tiny hangers, there is nowhere to put your clothes except keeping in the luggage or in the two shelves underneath the bed
* Some of the USB ports especially when I was on floor 11 didn't work, only when I changed my room that they were effective so do check the individual rooms when you get there as it makes a huge difference to how long your devices can charge (or not)
* The electronic points are at random parts of the room, so often the port that is next to the sink, is the only one you will use the most which is really inconvenient, when using the kettle/hairdryer - there isn't a separate port for shavers and/electric toothbrushes so you will need attachments that the hotel doesn't provide - I had to buy separate one from Daiso
* I've stayed at other hotels on 3* levels and for the price I paid, would've expected more perks, or at the very least, daily snacks to go with the water & teas everyday.
