Myeongdong Merlin Hotel

This is my second time staying here!. The staffs at the check-in counter are kind, nice and helpful. I requested for high floor this time and get 10th floor room👍🏻 the room looks nice, newer and cleaner than the first time I visited. I love the big mirror and smart TV that I can played netflix and youtube whenever i like. The location is one of the reason I rebooked this hotel. It’s not far from both Green Line (Eujiro-4ga) and Blue Line (Chungmuro) so easy to go Myongdong moreover restaurants and cafe are easy to find around and minimart is just next door.

Our experience in Merlin Hotel is nothing short but, amazing. The owner and staff of the hotel was friendly and helpful, they were very accommodating during our stay. Although the service and facilities may not be the greatest, in comparison to a 5 star hotel, it was sufficient and well equipped. The rooms does not come with toiletries, however, it is provided at front desk which is top-up daily by staff, and guest may take as much as they require. As for cleaning services, the staff will change towel (put it inside the provided basket) and do minimal cleaning of room (sweep or, mop the room) daily. The location of the hotel is near Chungmuro station, just take exit 8 (stairs) or, exit 1 (escalator; will require to cross road to reach hotel). The subway itself is an ideal station with intercepting line which is, Line 4 and Line 3. Additionally, it is also a stop away from Dongdaemun with transfer line of Line 2, Line 4 and Line 4. It is a walking distance to Myeongdong, approximately 10 - 15 minutes depending on your walking speed. Overall, I would definitely book this hotel again on my next visit to Korea, not because of the hotel location or etc but, the staff there who were an absolute ray of sunshine with their positive energy.

Hotel in good location. Nice service. Room specious. The only disadvantage was quite cold(in the winter time), even though we used the heater, was difficult to warm it up.

The hotel location is abit far from the airport limousine bus stop and metro but still walkable distance (7 mins walk) if you dont have alot to carry. There is one road junction to cross over after reaching the metro subway (Chungmuro) station. Hotel is abit rundown but if you dont have high expectations, this hotel have the necessities you need. (toothpaste/toothbrush/shower gel/conditioner/shampoo/shower towel) is all free to collect at the lobby yourself. Coffee/tea/water is provided at the lobby also. They do housekeep your room daily. Emart convenience store is right beside the hotel Generally, what you pay is what you have, so don't expect much like a standard hotel. I will recommend to only solo travellers and if you have a tight budget.

For the price per room, the standard is fine. Location is near the subway. One stop away from Myeongdong shopping street. The reception service is fine and they tried to meet our requests like extra towels etc.

The location is good. Is a loft setting room and the upper deck is quite low ceiling. Room washing machine is there but not functionable. But they offer free tooth brush n even power adaptor.

Location was good as it was very near to Chungmuro Station. There was a few convenience stores such as Emart24, CU & 7/11 which was fantastic. Hotel provided unlimited bottled water and soap. Would come back.
