Kensington Hotel Yeouido

Location: Yeouido, right by the Han River, facing a large church (likely referring to the Full Gospel Church, which is indeed very large). The 6007 Incheon Airport bus stops right outside, which is very convenient. Hotel Exterior: European style, quite grand. Hotel Facilities: The public areas are all very high-end, but the room facilities are dated. The bathroom drainage and toilet aren't as good as those at Atour or Four Seasons hotels in China. Laundry Room: Free to use. You need to take your room card to the front desk to register, then use the card to access room 313 (self-service laundry room). There's one large dryer and two small washing machines, all very clean. To operate: turn on – rotate to "standard" – start. It's open from 7 AM to 10 PM. I asked the front desk if staff could deliver my washed clothes to my room in the morning, but they refused, saying this service isn't available. Transportation: It's a 5-minute walk from the National Assembly Station, but this subway line isn't a main one, so transfers are often required. Surroundings: Behind the hotel, there's an Olive Young, a 7-Eleven, a bakery, a Vietnamese noodle shop, a coffee shop, and more. I must highly recommend a restaurant (I ate there for three days straight!) located to the left when you exit the front door. It's called something like "A Big Bowl of Soft Tofu" (see picture). I had their soup rice – it's a hidden gem. One meal in the morning can keep you full all day, so you only need a light snack in the evening. The food is delicious, portions are generous, and it's not expensive, about 60-70 RMB per person. In the morning, they offer free self-service various side dishes, and at lunch, free self-service spicy stir-fried rice cakes, egg and ham pancakes, and fried chicken – all very authentic. Mostly locals eat there. Ordering by scanning a QR code is also convenient (the WeChat interface can translate). Yeouido: It's a financial center with many large office buildings. During mealtimes, there are many office workers on the streets looking for food. I would likely choose this hotel again next time. It's quiet, clean, safe, and has convenient dining options.

The service is inflexible. I stayed for three days. The first two days were booked through one platform, and the third day was a separate booking. I had to check out at 11 AM and then check in again at 3 PM.

The room was much more spacious than hotels in Myeongdong; we could open two 26-inch suitcases with no problem. The wooden floor felt cleaner than carpet, and the air conditioning worked well. Although the hotel is older, the room has been renovated and was quite comfortable. The hairdryer was just okay, luckily I brought my own. The room type included executive lounge access, and while the food options were simple, it was still a nice perk to use when we had time. The location is excellent, right next to the Han River. The 6007 bus goes directly to the hotel entrance, and taxi navigation is also very convenient. There are buses and subways to Myeongdong, and it's very close to The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido. We even got to try the famous Han Jeongseon and Water Parsley Beef Soup in Yeouido, which usually have long queues in Seongsu-dong! If you're on a relaxed leisure trip or a business trip, I highly recommend staying in Yeouido.

This hotel truly exceeded my expectations! The room was clean and tidy, and the bed was as soft as a cloud, ensuring a full night's sleep that left me feeling refreshed. The staff were warm and attentive; they even immediately helped me out when I forgot my charger. The breakfast selection was rich and varied, with the freshly made hot dishes being especially delicious. The location is also super convenient, within walking distance to the commercial area. Highly recommend!

This was my first stay at this hotel. It's a decent walk from the subway station, about 5-6 minutes from the back entrance. On the way to the subway, there are convenience stores, a KFC, a fried chicken place, and cafes. The main entrance is even closer to a bus stop, and you can walk to the Han River. Lotte World is also within walking distance, though crossing the road can be a bit inconvenient, requiring a slight detour.

Great location, only a 5-minute walk from the subway exit. There are plenty of food and drink options right outside the back door, and even an Olive Young for last-minute shopping. The Airport Limousine Bus 6007 stops right in front, running almost every half hour. It's also very quiet at night.

The hotel's architecture and decor are very Western-style, and the front desk staff are incredibly friendly and enthusiastic. The room was clean and tidy with a great view of Han River Park. The location is convenient with good public transport links, lots of restaurants nearby, and close to the subway.

Great, great, excellent value for money. It's also close to the subway station, with plenty of good food options nearby. Mostly locals too, haha.
