A casual, rustic lodge with a view over their pond and tropical garden. Swimming pool for guests. Staff very friendly. Rooms ok for a short stay - has all you need. A drive from the town but easy walk to the RDC and nextdoor to the Orangutan and the Sun bear centres. Good value.

staff were courteous and helpful. room was alright and there was complimentary breakfast available, however there was no wifi in my room and the cleanliness could be improved.

We had a wonderful 3 days saying here. Thoroughly enjoyed our time.
The only downfall for me was there were so many steps and some quite high for short legs to climb up/down.
I am an elderly lady and struggled but still loved my visit.

Amazing location for the sunbears and Orangutan Sanctuary, just 5 minutes on foot. The pool here is a nice relief from the heat, however there are only about 10 sunbeds and then some seating along the wall, so at times there was nowhere to sit and relax by the pool which was a shame. The room was big, the balcony overlooked jungle type gardens and lots of wildlife could be seen/heard. Tea&coffee was available in the rooms, along with bottled water each day. Food in the restaurant was average. The gardens were beautiful, would stay again.

Room was quite big and clean. The lodge is a bit outdated and would need some maintanance. Garden is large with lush vegetation. Reception is at the cafe and it is quite far from the rooms. Location is great if you want to visit Sunbear Conservation Centre or Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary - 10 minutes on foot.

Stayed to see the sanctuaries nearby. The only redeeming factor is that it is walking distance to them. Other than that it was super dirty, lots of bugs, can see the gaps in the floor where it is open for bugs to come in. Not any soap in the bathroom, even hand soap isn’t available. We slept in our clothes because it felt dirty.

We absolutely loved our time at this quirky "resort". Lots of birds including a cranebill kingfisher who frequents the water by the cafe. Fab location for the Sanctuaries!
