Desert Quiver Camp Reviews

Simply incredible! Desert Quiver Camp was a very lovely stay. The room was huge and the amenities were fantastic. The views are spectacular in every direction. For dinner, you had the option of self-barbequeing (they provide you with the meat) or going to the buffet at the main lodge 5 minutes drive down the road (breakfast is also served here). We chose the buffet and it was honestly some of the best food we ate in all of Namibia. I think the self-barbequing would be quite fun though and far more secluded if you wanted a fun and peaceful night with your partner, friends or family. The camp is also only about a 5 minute drive to the Sossusvlei gate, so very conveniently located. I would recommend this to everyone.

The quiver camp rooms are very spacious with effective air con. They are nicely decorated and very up together. Modern bathroom facilities, super comfy bed and a sofa to sit on. The kitchen area is fine although the utensil boxes were a bit basic and had things missing. The breakfast is raken at the Sossusvlei lodge 3km down the road which was excellent. The receptionist was very charming and helpful. Areas for potential improvement include some cold water in the fridge, this would have been appreciated at the end of a long hot day on arrival but the biggest issue we noted was the lack of umberellas around the pool. There were 3 which were quickly taken, meaning 5 other people sat huddled in the shade of the bar and couldn't make use of the remaining sun loungers by the pool. I heard them muttering and unhappy and felt slightly guilty under the shade of mine. All in all a very good stay.

Unfortunately, it was very poorly maintained and not clean. The towels also smelled.

The room facilities are simple and adequate. There is no hair dryer and drinking water. It takes 5 minutes to drive to the park entrance. The price is also reasonable, it is a scenic spot after all. It's nice to have a drink at the bar and watch the sunset.

The camp is well located for accessing the Namib-Naukluft National Park. The houses are relatively new or newly renovated. The room is really big and well divided into living and sleeping area and bathroom. Cleanliness of the accommodation was great! If you want to use the grill you get the equipment juice at the reception, otherwise you have a fridge and kettle. You get breakfast 4 minutes by car in the direction of the national park. The facility is well maintained and the area is fairly quiet. The staff is nice and helpful

They are very nice cabins, with everything you need, they have a kitchen and barbecue. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner is located 4km away at the other Sossusvlei Lodge campsite.

Даже чайных ложек нет. Быстро начинает течь горячая вода в душе. Номер уютный и красиво оформлен. Есть небольшой бассейн и бар. Здесь хорошо отдохнуть после осмотра дюн. Если вы берёте номер с завтраком или ужином, знайте, что ресторан находится на территории другого отеля.

We found this place great! The pool and bar is situated up on a cliff with stunning views. Pool was beautiful and clean, rooms fantastic. It's self catering so you either bring your food or order dinner at nearby resort which is a 5 minute drive. Wilderbeast and Jackel come in close to the rooms. Stunning views of the landscape. Could sit at the bar and pool area all day.

Standard twin room is modern, neat & spacious. Nice view of the desert. Bed is very comfortable & clean. Check in & check out was efficient & quick, reception is very helpful, polite & professional. Buffet dinner had plenty of options. Staffs are friendly, helpful & speak English.

Chalets were lovely and well spaced out so didn’t feel on top of each other. Inside of chalets were comfortable with plenty of space and great shower. It is an open plan arrangement including the toilet so no door or separate room. There is an outdoor kitchen at the chalet and a bbq and I believe you can order supplies at reception. The main hotel for breakfast and dinner is a 5 minute drive away but also very pleasant and the restaurant is a buffet, which includes a BBQ. The highlight for us was the stars, they are amazing and so clear, so remember to look up!

Comfortable stay - the pool was great (although on the cooler side). The sunset by the poolside was amazing. Dinner and breakfast was at their sister lodge (Desert Camp) which would have been great to stay at, but I assume would have cost us much more! No issues - beds were comfy, and staff were helpful.

I had a great stay here. The customer service was amazing, and transfers were seamless and well-coordinated. The highlight of my trip was the Sossusvlei & Deadvlei Excursion arranged by the hotel. The guide was exceptional - deeply knowledgeable, engaging, and enthusiastic. I can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!

Comfortable room in the desert. Convenient to park the car just next to the room, which makes it easy to load/unload stuff, especially when arriving late at night or departing early to Sossusvlei. There is no food on site and all the meals are to be organised at time of booking and will be served at Sossusvlei lodge which is at 5 mins drive from the Camp. The rooms are equipped for self-catering; this has to be arranged at time of booking also.

Wow, this place was so nice. The huts are extremely comfy with parking next to the hut. They let you eat at the nearby lodge, which was one of the best foods we have had during our stay, and we are all 4 vegan. At night, it's so dark you get to see all the stars and the milky way. The only comment is that the pool is really small and quite uninviting, but it was too hot anyways. Place is located 2 minutes from the Sossusvlei park gate.
