Located on the lower grounds of the property with a view of the woods and creek (April-July), the suite has a private entrance, parking for two standard vehicles. Free WIFI. Lily Bay Creek is an ephemeral waterway that begins its flow in early April with the melting of snow and is also spring fed. At the homestead, the creek opens wide to create a large pond and as the summer progresses the pond plants absorb the water to become a wetland. By mid-July, the water is nearly entirely absorbed into a lush green zone. The creek and surrounding woods host a variety of wildlife including deer, coyote, sandhill crane, wood duck, ground fowl and even experiences an early spring sucker fish spawning. It is the permanent residence of Helen del Guidice, who serves as the Curator of Exhibitions and Collections at Miller Art Museum in downtown Sturgeon Bay. Helen is also a practicing artist and the owner of Del Guidice Studio, an art studio and gallery located on the low grounds of the Homestead. Sturgeon, Wi 2 bedroom Overall the site and house fine, comfortable, and easy to locate. There are a couple of things that could be improved:1. Access to the house from the parking are is a challenge for people with mobility issues.2. Control of the ventilation system was upstairs with the owner.Other than those two things our time there was enjoyable and co for table.

Perfect for a short stay Beautiful location. Easy check in. I did not see in the listing that you are unable to control the thermostat but have to text the owner to change the thermostat. It was quite cool in the unit. The owner was responsive when contacted to make the change. The thermostat was set at 62 which seems a bit cool when expecting guests. Otherwise- it was great!

Lovely and cozy sanctuary I’ve been visiting DC annually for about 6-7 years during the summer and finally made the leap to visit during fall to see the color. During our stay the weather turned rainy, cold and windy one day so we stayed in and played board games and card games all day. The large table easily accommodated all four of us. The space is very roomy and comfy so we never felt crowded. The electric stove really surprised me by how quickly the oven heated up when we heated up snacks during our game day. The wifi was awesome even with all four of us streaming at times. The grounds are just what I wanted, rural but not isolated. We met 3 out door kitties and a chicken while walking the grounds. There are extra touches like puzzles, some toiletries, and decor that were the cherry on top of a great weekend. Highly recommend.

Cozy little getaway We enjoyed this cozy VRBO which was close to many of the things that we wanted to do. We were able to enjoy Sturgeon Bay downtown area, the farmer's market, and visit many of the surrounding wineries.
