Here are the hotel's downsides:
1. The hotel photos are excellent, but in reality, the toilet and shower stalls are incredibly small! And they have glass doors, offering no privacy.
2. No slippers were provided. If you don't bring your own, it's hard to buy them nearby.
3. Despite temperatures around 10 degrees Celsius, our room could only operate in cooling mode. We froze on the first night. Only after speaking to the front desk the next day was it changed to heating.
4. The front desk staff had a bad attitude. Our room had two doors, and one of them couldn't be deadbolted from the inside, no matter what we tried. We spoke to the front desk, asking to either cancel our last two nights or switch rooms. Their response was unbelievable: 'That's just how this door is, there's nothing we can do,' and 'there are no other rooms available; we're fully booked.' They just kept emphasizing that the hotel's policy was non-refundable. Frustrated, we contacted Trip.com's customer service. Shortly after speaking with customer service, the front desk messaged us asking, 'Is there a problem with your door lock?' We were speechless – what were they doing before then?
The next day, a different front desk staff member was on duty and brought a maintenance worker to check the door. It turns out the door could indeed be locked, but it was just stuck before, making it very difficult to deadbolt. So, this issue could have been resolved immediately, but the communication with the front desk at the time was extremely unpleasant and ruined our experience.
In summary, the hotel is okay to stay in, but it's not as good as the reviews suggest, nor as fancy as the photos make it seem. If you choose to stay here, lower your expectations.
