Hotel Seward ★★
"Very Good"
Safari Lodge ★★
Trailhead Lodging ★★★
"The room is big with basic amenities. Location is quite good as it’s just at a free shuttle stop. It’s May in Alaska, so a small fan heater is not enough to warm us up. Luckily the bed is very comfy n the blankets keep us warm during the night."
Spruce Lodge ★★★
"The location is great, just a 15-minute drive from the Harding Exit. You can cook, and the bed is very comfortable. The self-service check-in is very convenient and highly recommended."
Breeze Inn Hotel ★★★
"Spacious rooms"
The Tides Inn ★★
"The Tides Inn in Seward, AK was a clean and comfortable enough place to stay for two or three days, the bed was comfortable, although the pillows were soft for our taste, the shower was decent, the kitchenette was convenient and the workability to shops and restaurants was ideal. The only real negative to the room we were in, which was the Mermaid Room, was that there is no closet or shelving to put clothes on, so you literally have to work out of a suitcase that you put on the extra bed in the living room. It worked out for us as we didn’t need the second bed for sleeping, but if that had been the case, it would have been an awkward situation. There were four or five coat-type hooks behind the front door, but no hangers or shelving of any type, so it wasn’t intended as a miniature clothes closet, just for hanging coats. Otherwise, the owners were very friendly and allowed us to store luggage before our room was ready and for a few hours after our stay until it was time to go to our cruise ship. There is a shuttle stop a half a block away, which made it very convenient to get around the town, however, you need to be aware that the last drop-off/pick up for the day at that stop is about 6:30 PM and taxis are not very plentiful and seem to stop at 7pm (and no Uber or Lyft) if you find yourself needing a way back to the hotel later in the day. A revamp of evening transportation is sorely needed."
Van Gilder Hotel ★★
Marina Motel ★★

Front Row Bed and Breakfast
Bell in the Woods B&B
"Yana is a wonderful host. The breakfast and yummy desserts are extraordinary. Our favorite part was meeting the other guests in the morning and throughout the day. We thought that the location might be too remote, but we found it to be just perfect! It felt like we were nestled in a Seward neighborhood. Everything was a short drive away. The rooms are small but we did not mind it at all. They are super clean (and we are picky!). The livingroom is open for all to enjoy. The self check-in was a breeze and her informative emails were much appreciated. We would definitely stay with her again. My mouth is watering just thinking about her banana upside down french toast!"

Brown & Hawkins Historical Apartments
"We stayed at this property for 3 nights in a one bedroom apartment. The building dates from 1903 and has been extended extensively since then. The apartment was quite large but is an older renovation. Kitchen probably last updated in the 1960's. The bathroom probably only 10 years ago. Ok so step back in time. The heating is from radiators that take up to 3 hrs to come on. Not joking. The radiator in the bedroom had the valve broken on. So it would heat up randomly. With it getting red hot at 2am. Only cleaners on site. No other staff. You need to be reasonably fit to haul your suitcases up the stairs. Parking at the front door was good."
