Shems Holiday Village & Aquapark

Wow wow cannot fault our stay for 8 nights Beginning of the season so aqua park was not fully open but wow the team couldn't do enough and opened the splash zone for kids after a couple of days. We didn't try the a la carte restaurant but that was no problem for us. The food amazing and fresh. My boy would recommend pancakes spaghetti and ice cream. It was great to have a huge selection and variety each night and each meal. When they brought out a whole cows leg flambé we was in awe! Breakfast was fresh and served good selection for vegetarians vegans and meat eaters and fussy eaters. Maids clean daily and very friendly and always good. Kids club ran by animation our boy loved it always engaging with English and French children so attentive and loving. The animation team in all was amazing morning till closing keeping activities going and engaging special mention the A'ch for making Patrick's day showing how behind the scenes was building new theatre area and showing him lights and curtains for our boy this made his day x And a huge shout out to the bar staff especially Riadh worked so hard and always great service. We had a fabulous time and we will be back with more of the family next time and in may onwards when more areas open on site.

I don't go travelling much but I'm definitely coming back to Tunisia and specifically this hotel!! I loved every second of it. It was truly an experience, I'm currently writing this out from within their reception as I'm about to leave after my 9 day trip. Now, here's the positives and negatives. Positives: The staff!! Amazing so friendly and welcoming. They have great service, the cleaners are lovely and the entertainment team! Absolute legends. I've made friends with multiple and can only say nice things about them all. The food was delicious. I'm usually picky but they had a wide range of food from spaghetti all the way to beef with squid ink?! Sounds horrible but it was actually delicious. The building is beautiful, it's a nice area to hang with friends you make there or to sit inside and get some work done. The entertainment. I can't tell you enough how amazing it is and unique to have an entertainment team at the hotel. These people danced, sang, arranged stuff. You were able to learn dances to fun songs and have a laugh. There's a DJ who is lovely and can put on songs you request, multiple amazing people who put on a big smile to make sure you get the best time! Negatives: I genuinely can't think of anything major accept there's no gym which we were told there was but that doesn't matter as the activities were a workout itself! There's no WiFi within the bungalow buildings, the first day I was like "Oh no" but then I realised I hardly spent time there accept to sleep. This hotel genuinely was amazing, best experience I've had in my life so I'll rate it a 5/5, I'd rate it higher if I could! Can't wait to come back and see all the friends I made again!!

There was something to do everyday here, plenty of activities going on and an aqua park at the rear of the hotel, the beach isn't far and the hotel have a private beach area too, there was so much to do here and my children enjoyed every minute here. There are nightly shows for the children and then after they play music for adults entertainment. They offer snacks and the restraunt areas are big enough for around 200 people if not more There is also dining outside too...

My second time in shams holiday village I came yesterday i appreciate what they doing for me and my wife I would like stay for long time Definitely I will come back soon with my family in August

We really enjoyed this hotel, we both liked the food served in the hotel it isn’t great if you have picky eaters but we’re not so we loved it We didn’t really drink the alcohol but seen the alcohol being served they looked strong! Only downfall to drinks is they serve them in little cups All the staff were really friendly and the animation team really tried their best with everyone and did adapt their language to all the guests, the night entertainment was quite good especially the fire show The rooms are okay we had an issue with the shower there was only 2 of us and we couldn’t both have a shower on the same evening because it didn’t stay hot we ended up having to keep turning it off and back on whilst showering which wasn’t ideal the cleaners came into our room every day and cleaned which was lovely. Towards the end of the holiday we had a little bit of an issue being bit and the flies started to annoy us but that isn’t anything to do with the hotel The hotel is kind of isolated and isn’t much around but this wasn’t an issue for us as we know our way around Tunisia. The pool and water park were amazing always managed to get a sun bed we didn’t really go on the beach as it was full of sea **** and rubbish in the sea but we were told that when it’s more in season they clean up the beach the best they can. There wasn’t many English people in this hotel but again that wasn’t an issue for us but may be for others Out overall stay was lovely and we do not have any complaints.

There are very nice people on vacation, chouchou makes beautiful bracelets at a good price, they are high quality and traditionally made bracelets, she is smiling every day. everyone loves chocho. ichrak kallala can help with everything and is very kind. They have beautiful pools and everything is clean. The animators play a lot of games with us and try to involve us in everything. The receptionist Jawher is very kind and helped us with the accommodation and you can ask him anything
