Weiting R Hotel (Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street People's Square Station)

Overall, we had a really pleasant stay here. The room was clean and had no odour when we arrived, and I really liked that there was an extra lock you could put on the door. The room was also very modern, with a smart toilet that had a remote, and there was even a robot that delivered food to our room, which was such a fun touch. We had a great view from our room, and it was also nice and quiet. The staff were one of the highlights of our stay. Everyone was so nice and welcoming, and they were always happy to help whenever I had questions. They also collected parcels for me during our stay, which was really convenient. There are laundry facilities available as well, and the staff are happy to help with these. We also received cute little gift bags when we checked out, which was such a lovely and thoughtful touch. The location is very good and central to everything, so it was easy to get around. The only downside was that you have to cross the road outside to get a Didi, and the road is usually quite busy, so it can be a little inconvenient. Also, as far as I know, the TV couldn’t be changed to English. I didn’t ask the hotel staff if they could help with this, though, so there may have been a way to change it that I wasn’t aware of. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and especially appreciated how helpful and welcoming the staff were. I would come back to this hotel if I was in Shanghai again :)

We really enjoyed our stay at Weiting R Hotel. The staff were very nice and even ordered us a cake to celebrate our honeymoon! Fantastic hotel and staff. Also the location is excellent.

All the staff were very responsive, helpful, and welcoming. Special thanks to the General Manager, who went above and beyond by assisting us with our laundry and offering a discount for late check-out until 6 PM. The staff also kindly helped us order halal food using their account, which was greatly appreciated. The hotel is in a great location, very close to Nanjing Road, and the staff speak English, making communication easy. The room can feel a little small for a family with a young child, but it depends on your budget and needs. Our room had a small pantry area, and we made good use of the available space. Overall, highly recommended, especially for Malaysian travellers visiting Shanghai.

Amazing new location! Super close to subway and nanjing pedestrian street. Many malls and food options nearby. It’s newly opened in 2026 so facilities are new and clean which is very important to me. Room was good enough for a solo traveler and water pressure was great. Staff were very friendly although English might not have been very fluent. Has fridge and tea amenities, and free laundry although I never used it.

I stayed 4 nights at this hotel..I was so plesent at any moment, it starts with the new facilities , cleaning and the amazing stuff, any one of them works hard to make me comfortable, the manger. The front desk representatives the house keeping and the kitchen stuff where just nice and  so helpful.. it  is the environment behavior that make them all  such kind, special grateful to the beautiful lady misses Zhang Xin as she spreading hurt kindness and truly willing to help.. this is the kind  you looking… blessings.
