Regarding the issues you mentioned with the bed frame structure and mattress support, after careful inspection, we found that the mattress itself was not damaged or had any quality problems. The "hollow" and "sunken" feeling you described is because some rooms used a "slatted frame structure" to support the bed – a design commonly used in old-style villa renovations, primarily due to its superior breathability, effectively preventing the mattress from becoming damp in the humid southern climate. However, we also recognize that guests unfamiliar with this structure may initially experience a feeling of insufficient support or "collapse," potentially affecting their sleep experience. This is a shortcoming in our communication and explanation. We understand that no remedial measures can eliminate your discomfort and disappointment. Perhaps it's an inherent quirk of the old house—using the texture of bygone days to earn your exclamation of "What a lovely environment!" We will try to make our luggage more stable, but we want to quietly preserve those cobblestones, to remember every footstep that has traveled from afar. We hope that when you pass by Wukang Road again, you will push this door open once more. The cobblestone path will still be there, the warm water will still be offered, the pillows will still be so comfortable, and we will still be that little house that offers more warmth than a hotel and more order than a guesthouse.
