The Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai

An absolutely wonderful stay! I'll definitely be back. I truly experienced the high-quality service from a very professional team. As they say at The Ritz-Carlton, “We are Ladies and Gentlemen serving Ladies and Gentlemen,” and this motto truly exemplifies the anticipatory service provided by all staff members.

The room was very clean and tidy, and a good size. The location was excellent, right next to Plaza 66, which made shopping incredibly convenient, and it's also close to Jing'an Temple. The hotel service was outstanding. You could even see the Friendship Hall outside the window! It was beautiful! Dylan was very warm and attentive in welcoming our group, making us feel right at home.

An excellent hotel! Everything from check-in, the restaurant, gym, to room service was top-notch. The breakfast was generous with a wide variety of choices. The outdoor pool was very comfortable. The room facilities were well-maintained and didn't feel old at all. The location is superb, right in Shanghai Centre, which has a supermarket and restaurants. Kerry Centre is also nearby. Jing'an Temple, Shanghai Exhibition Centre, Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Former Residence, Cai Yuanpei's Former Residence, and Ho Tung's Former Residence are all within walking distance.

Every Sunday, I stay here because of my job. I've stayed in many different hotels, but this one, despite being an older establishment, has absolutely impeccable service. The concierge service, executive lounge, parking, and dining are the best I've ever experienced. Many foreigners love it, and the air conditioning is very cool. I really can't find any faults. I hope they maintain this level of service!

This hotel was the first Ritz-Carlton on the mainland, so the facilities and equipment are relatively outdated and showing their age. The room wasn't very big, and both the amenities and design felt quite old-fashioned. The interior somewhat resembled the 'backrooms' aesthetic. However, the lobby is still very cool. The hotel staff were exceptionally good with their service. They offer custom room key cards which are beautiful. It seems some of the hotel's electrical wiring might be aging, as there was a constant buzzing sound, but the technician came to fix it promptly, which was excellent.

A hotel located in the Shanghai Centre, with a shopping paradise right downstairs. The hydrangeas and floral display in the lobby on the first floor were fantastic. I absolutely love hydrangeas, and catching them in season was a real treat for the eyes! The dessert shop downstairs has delicious desserts 😋

Upgraded to a Deluxe Sky Room: The room had a great view. Cleanliness: Also very clean. Service: Service was excellent! Breakfast was very satisfying!

Marko was friendly and professional, and even proactively offered excellent dining suggestions – top-notch service! And Diana, darling, we loved you!🫶^^~
