I was traveling with my family and we booked a night stay in this hotel. We were reluctant if the hotel would accept us since we didn’t have our passport with us. Our visa is still on renewal process and we just have that single receipt/paper from the police. While other hotels were so strict with no passport no check in policy, I phoned the Renaissance Yu Garden Hotel and got to speak with Quinzel ,I explained our situation why we didn’t have our passport with us. She assisted my all the way to checking in smoothly. At the same time she helped us upgrade our room to a bigger one with a beautiful view. Finally we checked out late and we weren’t asked for extra charge. Quinzel granted our requests and a big help for us to have a wonderful stay at the hotel. Definitely we would come back and stay here again.
As to our room, it was spacious, tidy and the bed was comfortable as well. The breakfast was great, novel to the taste buds. Having lived in china for quite some time, the breakfast experience somewhat brought us somewhere beyond China, or even a taste from back home. The location of the hotel is at the heart of the city and at the same time at the doorstep of metro line 10, which is very strategic in getting us to the different and major hotspots thru the metro. All in all in a scale 1 to 10, where 10 is tops, I’ll give it an easy 20.
