First, let's talk about the service. The service at the 83rd-floor Executive Lounge and the 57th-floor spa and gym was excellent. However, the 54th-floor reception seemed understaffed, leading to queues. I've stayed at most hotels of a similar caliber, and I've never had to wait in line for check-in or check-out.
Regarding the room amenities, the Lujiazui skyline view is absolutely stunning, and the bed was very comfortable. They even use eco-friendly materials for the toothbrushes and toothpaste. However, the shower wasn't very responsive, feeling almost a decade old, and the toilet paper was extremely thin.
I also want to mention the complimentary food and beverages. The breakfast and afternoon tea selection was incredibly limited, the least variety I've seen in hotels of this class. The saving grace is that you can access the Executive Lounge for most of the day.
Finally, the hotel's location is extremely convenient, right next to Metro Lines 2 and 14, making it easy to get to attractions like The Bund or the Oriental Pearl Tower.
Overall, I'd rate it around 4.5 out of 5. The service and location are definite positives. If you don't have extremely high expectations, it's still a decent choice.
