Good location, close to the Bund. The beds are comfortable, the Wi-Fi works well, and they have lockers, a kitchen, and several public areas. Excellent

It’s very cheap for a big city. People live there for long periods (students, workers), so you might be in « their space ». The staff is very nice and helpful, and happy to help.

Cheap hostel for nanjing area. Can look for Moreland hostel. The hostel room was spacious but a bit dusty. Just good enough for us to sleep at night. Toilet was clean everyday. No water dispenser at the hostel except very hot water boiler. Located 10 minutes from subway or Apple/Samsung store. Staff was friendly enough to serve us using translation app.

The common areas are nice and they offer many services but they have a BIG problem with permanent tenants and cleanliness, no matter where you look you will find clothes, shoes or food leftovers, even the space for my bed was full with someone else's underwear and beauty products

Please training your Security staff in the Lobby because they must be kind to every single person. Dont be rude to new guest.

The staff didn’t have much English but they used translation apps to help. I arrived before the check in time but could leave my luggage in storage and check in later. I stayed in the female 4 person room and had a window bunk. The bed was comfortable but the room could be too hot for some depending on how your roommates are about keeping the AC on. The room has a safe for each bunk. Very close to multiple metro lines and a short walk to the Bund. Would probably stay again.

It's ok for the low price but, it's unclean. The location is good and there are some commun rooms that are pretty nice. I think some people live here full time, there's clutter in the rooms and in some parts of the commun areas.

I am glad to have stayed in this hostel during my three day Shanghai backpacking. Its location is within 5 - 10 min walk to the Bund. There is an elevator to bring to the 3rd floor where the hostel is located. There is a simple store downstair selling bottled water, instant noodle and ice cream. The hostel has several vending machines but a local mobile number is required to unlock the vending machine's door and to make payment (Alipay & Wechat don't work directly). The English name of this hostel is Moreland Hostel (as indicated in the photo). Hope this review helps international solo backpackers.

Great for Solo Travelers - Safe, welcoming, and full of friendly faces. The hostel offers great value — affordable price, good location, and a relaxed vibe. The dorm was spacious, and the showers had strong pressure. Would stay again.

The location of this hostel was really convenient — I could easily reach the main attractions of the historic center either on foot or by bike. It’s a great base if you want to explore central Shanghai without needing public transport all the time. I stayed in an 8-bed dorm, which was maybe a bit too crowded. There wasn’t quite enough space for everyone’s luggage, so it felt a little cramped. Overall, a decent stay if you’re looking for a central location and don’t mind a busy dorm room.

it was great stay! the location was convenient, near local restaurants and some of major attractions. the staffs were also welcoming and kind. room and facility were not bad but kinda basic. Totally recommend it.

Was ok. Near to nanjing street and 15min. to Bund. The Guy at the Reception did Not speak English but it was no problem. The Room was a Bit hot Despite AC. It was Like a Student dormitory than a hostel

we were three guests who got seperate rooms instead of being but in same room, but other than that, very good experience

Low price, great location. Many attractions within walking distance, 10 minutes to the metro station. Daily cleaning of the room, always hot water, shower gel and toilet paper. Bed linen was clean, the air conditioner worked well. In the kitchen there is an opportunity to heat or cook food. Always available boiling water. There was no cold drinking water. Dishes for food, except for saucepans, need to be brought with you. The refrigerator is very small, for such a large number of tourists it is naturally not enough!! The refrigerator was constantly busy. I recommend this hostel.
