Melia Shanghai Parkside

This hotel remains my top choice when visiting Disneyland – the location is simply unbeatable. It's fantastic to be able to sleep in a bit longer in the morning, as it's just a ten to fifteen-minute walk to Star Wishing Lake. And after a long day at the park, when your legs are aching, it's amazing to know that there's a shuttle bus waiting to take you back to the hotel from the park entrance, which is only a few hundred meters away. Beyond the location, the hotel itself is excellent. The rooms are a good size and very comfortable. The Shikumen-style architecture adds a unique local touch. Everything is spotlessly clean, and breakfast is decent. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the shuttle service is always readily available.

The environment and location are genuinely great. However, the male front desk staff had a bad attitude. Also, the bed sheets felt a bit itchy and seemed damp and not very clean. There was no soap provided at the sink. The restaurant had very few food options, and while the prices weren't cheap, they were acceptable. Delivery services couldn't reach the hotel. The courtyard was quite spacious but felt a bit useless because the fabric chairs were damp and moldy, making them unusable. They really should add a patio umbrella with a table and chairs, but there wasn't one.

This is our second stay at this hotel, and again, we were visiting Disney with our child. The location is fantastic; being located within the Disney resort, it's less than a 10-minute walk to the park entrance. The service is excellent, and the in-room service is very prompt. The hotel's decor is beautiful, on par with many popular Instagrammable hotels, featuring an old Shanghai house style, yet it doesn't feel dated. The restaurant is also great and very refined.

Had a fantastic stay at the Melia Shanghai Hongqiao! The location is great, just about a ten-minute walk from Disneyland, making it very convenient for getting around. The room was spacious and clean, the environment was quiet, and the service was attentive. It's definitely my top choice for a Disney trip, and I'll be staying here again.

This hotel is really convenient for Disneyland, and compared to the Disney hotels, it offers much better value for money. It's quiet, the environment is good, and the pillows are super comfortable – our whole family had a great night's sleep. We ordered dinner from the hotel in the evening, and it was generous, filling, and delicious. The hotel staff were all very enthusiastic. It's definitely a hotel I'd be happy to book again.

The staff provided five-star service. The environment, as pictured, was absolutely stunning and harmoniously blended with nature. The shuttle service was prompt, making it very convenient for guests to get around. Breakfast was extensive and absolutely perfect.
