I checked in on my birthday, and the front desk staff, Tina and Porco, found out and sent a complimentary birthday cake to my room on behalf of the hotel. This unexpected surprise made me feel incredibly warm. It was a cold day, but their kindness was even stronger. I'm very grateful! Overall, the hotel's service is very considerate, and the environment, cleanliness, and facilities are excellent. It made my birthday truly satisfying. I want to thank the staff again for their dedication. I hope the hotel and its employees continue to strive for excellence in the new year and reach the pinnacle of the industry!

Perfect stay - great service and beautiful grounds! My stay at the Hongqiao State Guest Hotel was fantastic. Right from check-in, the staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The best part is the huge, beautiful garden. It's so peaceful and feels like a green oasis in the city – perfect for a morning walk. The location is also very convenient, close to Hongqiao airport and transportation. Everything was just easy and pleasant. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Shanghai. Highly recommend!

It was very clean, and they were very accommodating when we brought our child.

Only a reminiscence of a 5 stars hotel. I would give 4* to the outdoor area and 3* to the indoor area. The indoor area smelled bad, a mixture of a smoking place and mold (on the corridor and inside the room). The lobby smelled nicely and freshly perfumed. The carpets were old and partially stained. Reception desk staff was nice. Restaurant staff also. I had to ask the cleaning service to use the vacuum cleaner in our room. They forgot to do that twice. They only arranged our beds. Breakfast served 99% the same food for 3 days in a row. Same for lunch. No new ideas on behalf of the kitchen staff to impress the guests. Saw green flies around the raw salmon fish on the second and third day. The cart driver who was transporting our family to the swimming pool was nice on the first day, opening the door to my wife and kids. On the second and third day, they stopped being nice and I asked why. The reply was “now you know how to open the door by yourself.” The worst part was the swimming pool. The changing room walls were cracked, full of mold. 1 star for that is a high revue. The water in the pool was clean, no bad smell. The life guards had a huge electric fan at full blast 1 meter away from the pool. We had to ask the kids to be careful not to play with water guns near that side of the pool. Overall, we were happy because the kids relaxed. Not a 5 stars hotel, way overpriced for what it has to offer.

Close to Hongqiao airport though. The room is so clean and facility is great. Inside it looks like a park. Very quiet and very green. The breakfast is fantastic.

I am very happy that I chose the good hotel --- Hongqiao Sate Guest House Shanghai. The receptions in front desk , restaurant waiter and cleaner are very kind and helpful. the room is very clean, and environment is excellent, green, flour and quiet. breakfast is richer, there are many options from Chinese food to West food. Traffic from hotel to Hongqiao Airport / High-speed train station is about 20 mins by taxi.  The hotel will be my first choice when I stay in Shanghai.

Beautiful hotel. My parents stayed with me this time. staff were super friendly. I have always chosen this hotel when i come to shanghai. It feels comfort able. And it is also quiet in environment. Strongly recommend this hotel.

Located in a green and lush area, which used to had a great shopping mall. A bit old school and not up to date. Rooms smell a bit, and off everything. I still enjoyed the lush garden and surrounding but not for everyone.

I really liked my stay at this hotel. It feels almost like a big garden. There are many separate buildings with some looking like mansions. The business standard rooms in the main building are comfortable though a little small. The breakfast food is very good, if not top notch. The gym is located in a separate building 5 min by walk from the main building. The hotel’s restaurant serves high quality Chinese cuisine and wedding parties. I high recommend it to anyone traveling in and out of Hongqiao airport or railway station.
