Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden On the Bund

Room is clean and well maintained and is in good size. Free minibar drinks during stays. Can choose latex or buckwheat pillows. Location is quite near to Yu Garden. Hotel also provides free Shuttle service to nearby MRT Stations, Yu Garden, The Bund, XiTiandi and few others nearby locations.

I really recommend this hotel because thier front desk staff are very attentive to customers request and they give free unlimited bottles water. The toilet is very clean and have automatic bidet or washlet same quality to the korea and japan standard. The downside of hotel is very far from the train station around 10mins walk.

Clean and nice room, upgraded to a bigger room with additional RMB 219 for 3 nights, includes breakfast. There is a fully equipped laundry room to wash and dry your clothes for free. A very pleasant stay.

Stayed at this hotel for three nights. Just checked in right after our long hour midnight flight and the reception allowed us to check in immediately. Hotel location is good and walking distance to yu garden. Will definitely recommend to anyone who visit Shanghai.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Service was 10/10. All the staff were super friendly & helpful from the bellboy, receptionists, housekeeping, maintenance person. Breakfast was great, staff even allowed us to takeaway when one of us couldn't go down for breakfast. Free usage of the laundry room. Once we couldn't get a taxi when we were out of the hotel, I texted one of the staff to assist and he was super helpful. Special thanks to Mr Edward & Mr Chao for your excellent service. There is a small shopping mall right across the bridge that has nice restaurants with reasonable prices and delicious food. The train station is quite a distance so I had to take taxis to go places since it's winter & pretty cold. The staff doesn't speak English so be prepared if you don't speak Chinese. It was a memorable first visit to Shanghai.

My family and I visited Shanghai and stayed at Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden on the Bund. On arrival, the hotel on the outside looks different, and it's also not stroller- or wheelchair-friendly. There is a lot of construction taking place around the hotel. Check-in went smoothly, even though the hotel was very busy. When we arrived in our room, the air conditioning was not working, and it was extremely cold in Shanghai. We had to call reception; we struggled to communicate with them, so I had to go downstairs and use the translation. The technician came out and fixed something on the panels. The overall stay wasn't too bad. The beds were comfortable, and they provided a free crib for my daughter, which was amazing.

Very clear and cozy, close to YU Garden. Lovely place ❤️

Good hotel in Shanghai. Clean room, but central heating was too hot.
