Shanghai Royal Garden Hotel (Shanghai International Resort)

The resort hotel environment is exceptionally tranquil, perfect for light sleepers. The scenic area is huge; after we dropped off our luggage, we took a stroll around the outer perimeter. The Suzhou-style architecture and garden landscaping offered beautiful views at every turn, and the front desk staff were particularly warm and welcoming. Plus, there's a free airport pick-up service!

Choose wisely if you plan to use the hotel's amenities. The swimming pool, kids' play area, and gym are all shared with a training facility, so there are many external visitors. The changing rooms by the pool were dirty and messy. The kids' play area was disappointing with not much to do, and to make matters worse, it's next to a Latin dance studio, which generated a huge amount of noise. The next morning, we encountered a table tennis coach inappropriately touching a female student, which led to her mother shouting for half an hour. After the police arrived, we had no desire to enjoy ourselves anymore! This is the first time I've encountered such poor amenities at a five-star hotel. I've already complained to Ctrip about their insufficient due diligence on the hotel and for not indicating on the booking page that the facilities are operated by third parties, which severely impacted our stay. The hotel staff were all nice, and the room was a bit old. If it doesn't rain, a walk outside the hotel is lovely, with beautiful views at every turn.

Had a fantastic stay! The room was spotless and well-maintained, making for a comfortable and peaceful experience. There's a cute stray kitten in the hotel garden, and the staff were incredibly kind and caring towards it, which was really heartwarming. The overall environment is elegant and quiet, and it's super convenient for getting to Disneyland. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit, highly recommend it!!!

I specifically chose the Regal Garden Hotel for my Disneyland trip, and the biggest highlight is its Suzhou-style garden. With its pavilions, terraces, and ponds, it's lovely for a stroll in the morning or evening, perfect for photos, and offers a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle. After a long day at the park, walking around the garden really helps soothe your fatigue. The room was spacious, housekeeping was excellent, and the bedding was very comfortable. You can book a hotel shuttle to Disneyland, which makes getting around very convenient. To be objective, the facilities aren't brand new; it's an older garden hotel. But if you're not looking for a trendy, modern decor, it's perfectly acceptable. Check-in at the front desk was efficient, and a gentleman named Mr. Hao provided polite and appropriate service, handling things very effectively. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to the Shanghai resort area.
