J Hotel Shanghai Tower

Really enjoyed the stay! Impeccable service upon arrival - from the concierge, check in was very smooth and butler was very helpful in assisting with our dinner reservation. The hotel tour is a must! Ms Wang, tour guide, takes her time to introduce and explain the details of the architecture from Ground Floor to 120F. We had to check our early morning (5:30am) and they packed our breakfast for us to bring to the airport. They also provided a small gift which is a nice gesture. Thank you for an enjoyable stay!

Absolutely at the top of things! You will be staying in one of Shanghai's most visible landmarks with a one of a kind view of the city. The Shanghai Tower's architecture is both stunning and energetic, from the outside as well as the inside. It is matched by a level of personal dedication from the staff that is absolutely extraordinary even for a hotel of the highest category. I was staying (for a business trip) in a Premium Stateroom that offered a perfect view of several more of Shanghai's world-famous landmarks: The Oriental Pearl Tower, the Shanghai World Financial Center, the Jin Mao Tower and the Bund (Waitan). When it comes to the style of the architecture you will find both very authentic and traditional Chinese elements as well as those one would expect from a skyscraper, like glass and steel. They must have taken the utmost care in combining them in a gorgeous way. It must be very hard to find that elsewhere. Very beautiful and impressive indeed. Also something someone from the West can draw a lot of inspiration from. I would very much like to thank concierge manager Ryan Wang personally for his outstanding service from the moment my room was booked until after I had already left and we still exchanged some WeChat messages. He assisted me with practically everything I did in Shanghai and played an absolutely crucial role in making sure my business trip was a great success. Especially if you are not a fluent Mandarin speaker having a dedicated concierge can make a huge difference. From finding a certain place to organizing a visit, translating or booking a train ticket. If you are looking for the best place to stay in Shanghai this should definitely be your choice! You will surely make some unforgettable experiences. I am already looking forward to my next visit!

A very luxurious hotel with many nice restaurants. Rooms are well designed and spacious. Service is exceptional and staff are very friendly especially Lynda and Odele, both work in the reception area. A 7-star hotel.😊

Splurged a little for birthday, it was a really nice experience, upon entering the hotel, was greeted by the concierge staff and they assisted us to move our luggage to our room. The staff were pleasant and greeted us whenever we take the lift. Provided breakfast buffet, afternoon high tea, and not to mention the view here is simply stunning. The hotel is situated at the heart of shanghai, the view is probably better than oriental pearl tower. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay and I felt it was money well spent for the experience.

Stunning views and incredible service. Expensive but worth it. The afternoon tea included is great and the breakfast is the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had.

The J hotel is truly beautiful. Very impressive from upon entry. The fragrant that hits you upon entry was indeed breathtaking. The place smelt immaculate. Although it was a one night stay for us, it was the little things that made such lasting impressions from the package deal that came with the room to their customer service, it was impeccable. The food there, OMG, exquisite, delicious and moreish. For breakfast we definitely went A la carte and was quite surprised when we were told we can order the entire menu if we wished 😂. By all means we had seconds. Loved the fact that we got an extended check out for 2pm with no additional charge. We really enjoyed our stay there. I have only two faults with the hotel: 1) The rugs/carpets in the room can do with a deep clean. Though it didn’t smell or anything but the dirt and stains are very noticeable. Hence the 4/5 for cleanliness. 2) The fact that at some point we had to leave the hotel to head back home🥲. Overall, if the price is a non factor I say pay this hotel a visit, you won’t regret it. We will definitely visit again.
