HanTing Hotel (Shanghai South Shaanxi Road Subway Station)

The first room I was given had no window, which would have been fine, but it reeked of mildew. The smell was so strong I could detect it even when lying down. I then requested a room change. The second room didn't have the mildew smell, but it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned. I hadn't even unpacked my toiletry bag yet, and there was still toothpaste left from the previous guest. I usually just care about cleanliness, which is why I often choose Hanting, but this experience was truly disappointing.

Came to the hotel to rest after shopping with friends, but the room type we booked didn't have any window rooms available. We waited for dozens of minutes and ended up staying in a different room type. You can see the tall buildings outside from the hotel window, which is decent for this area.

After visiting Disneyland, we headed back to downtown Shanghai and chose Hanting. We arrived quite late, so we ordered a lot of takeout, and the robot delivery was super convenient. They also have a laundry room and dryer, which was a nice bonus.

Convenient location with lots of buzz around, and there are some beautiful, popular spots perfect for Instagramming.

No need for many words, just look at the pictures. The entire room felt dirty, and there were small insects flying around. Even if you're not sick, you'd get sick staying here. The mobile network signal in the room was also very poor. This was the worst hotel I stayed at during my trip. I thought it was a big brand, so I booked it without worries, but it turns out the standard is just average. The only advantage is its location. The housekeeper was very diligent, but the hardware simply hasn't been maintained. I don't expect the hotel to take this review seriously anyway; I'm just writing these few lines for everyone else. Otherwise, the room wouldn't be in this state now.

The facilities are complete, the room is especially cozy and clean, and the service is excellent, warm, and thoughtful. It's great value for money, I highly recommend everyone to stay!

The hotel service was excellent and the room was clean.
