The location is the hotel's biggest advantage. Situated right on Huaihai Middle Road, a prime commercial area, the hotel offers instant access to shopping and dining. Most importantly, it is an extremely short 3-5 minute walk to the Shaanxi South Road Metro Station, which serves three critical metro lines (1, 10, and 12). This unparalleled accessibility made navigating Shanghai effortless and saved us significant travel time throughout the trip. Room Quality and Professional Service We were thoroughly impressed with both the facilities and the staff. The room itself was consistently clean, and despite the typical compact sizing for a city hotel, the layout was comfortable, and the bed provided a great night's sleep. All essential amenities, including strong Wi-Fi and hot water, functioned perfectly. The service was equally excellent; the front desk staff was very professional, friendly, and efficient during both check-in and check-out, ensuring our stay was smooth and worry-free. Overall Conclusion and Strong Recommendation Based on our experience, we highly recommend this Hanting hotel. Everything—from the immaculate cleanliness and functional rooms to the courteous service—was satisfactory. However, the convenience and the outstanding value for money derived from its superior central location are what set it apart. Although the room was small, it was perfectly adequate for one person. When you're traveling, cleanliness is paramount, and the staff responsible for housekeeping were also exceptionally kind. The location is super convenient, just a five-minute walk to the subway station. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

I've actually stayed at this Hanting Hotel twice now whenever I've visited Shanghai. Its location right by the subway station is incredibly convenient. I even chose it again this time when I came for a concert, since getting to Shanghai Stadium on Line 1 is super quick from here. Definitely recommend it!

Very clean and convenient location

The room arrangement was perfect, and the location is incredibly convenient. The service was excellent. Subway stations are all conveniently close, and the Giant Exhibition is right next door. We look forward to staying here again!

The room was very clean. What I particularly loved about this hotel was its excellent location. There are plenty of shops to browse nearby, and it's also conveniently close to the subway station. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

location is truly central and very convenient as it is near 2 metro stations. however, everything else makes me forget this as it was truly a bad experience. firstly, when i first reached the hotel, instead of just checking you in, the staff will hard sell you to “upgrade” your room if you are staying more than one night, but this “upgrade” is rly just a window view which is also 80% blocked by some structure…. and the bedroom is also weirdly positioned, with a wall(?) positioned right between your bed and the desk?? i was quite bothered by this position because it’s like obstructing alot of space in the already small room for no reason. at this point, i was still willing to forego these as the location was rly good, but the dealbreaker was that for this “upgrade”, their shower was not working with the water pipe bursting. i was so shocked and angry and went to call the receptionist to fix my toilet, and not only did they not come immediately, they told me to wait 30 mins and even after the 30 mins, they didn’t even come because someone was on “dinner break” lol. this is my first time experiencing such bad service and the hotel wasn’t even that cheap for $70+ a night for ONE pax. anyways i would highly NOT recommend as it’s personally the worst hotel i have stayed in. the red flag that i should have picked up on is that there were still available rooms on the day that you want to book lol. i didn’t even bother taking photos as everything just looks atrocious. also i requested to change my room since no one came to fix my shower and they gave me a windowless room, and i supposedly paid for an upgrade, so ya never again.

The room was very clean. The location is excellent, making it convenient to get anywhere. The cleaning staff and front desk personnel were also very helpful and polite, resolving all issues with a good attitude. They even helped me mail back an item I left at the hotel. It was a great experience, and I'll definitely book this hotel again next time!

I did a lot of research before booking this hotel, and it turned out to be exactly what I hoped for – I'm very satisfied. Even though it's located in the bustling area of Middle Huaihai Road, the stay was excellent. The hotel is very quiet, and the soundproofing is great. The facilities are compact and exquisite, clean, and tidy. A three-minute walk to the left takes you to Middle Huaihai Road Metro Station, and a five-minute walk to the right leads to South Shaanxi Road Metro Station, making transportation quick and convenient, with easy access to all parts of the city. The front desk staff were warm, patient, and meticulous, showing great professionalism. Special shout-out and big thumbs up to both the front desk and housekeeping staff! 👍👍👍

The room was incredibly small. The soundproofing was absolutely terrible; I could hear the people next door talking non-stop, it felt like they were right in my room. The pipes were also constantly making noise. This just goes to show, you really should pay attention to the negative reviews – this was genuinely the worst Hanting I've ever stayed at.

Excellent value for money. The place was very clean, and the overall environment was lovely. We were very satisfied with our room assignment. A truly great stay, and we look forward to returning!

Best location. Near to mrt, convenient shops and bars. Room quite small but has everything needed. Acceptable for staying only one night. Would like to come again next time.

The room was incredibly tiny. If you're taller than 170cm, you'll feel extremely cramped and struggle to move around freely. The bathroom was so minuscule you couldn't even bend down, and washing your hair meant constantly bumping your head and arms. It's genuinely only suitable for very slender guests. On the plus side, the location is quite good.
