The building is very special, it’s obviously got character but well the inside is very dated, some of the fixtures are not very well detailed for example the shower has some screws coming off and well it’s an old building so it’s understandable, the breakfast was good so was the coffee but half of the staff was friendly and half was a bit careless. Our stay was pleasant and most of the staff were very helpful & friendly. They will greet us whenever we walked pass. Too bad we did not have the chance to enjoy the facilities and dine in the hotel. One feedback I had was during our check-in day on 28 Feb 2024. We were not sure if we had arrived at the right hotel as we do not know the hotel's Chinese name. It was raining and I wanted to alight & make a quick check with an older porter at the hotel entrance/drop-off point. When I asked the older porter ”这里是不是 Okura Garden Hotel?” He just brushed me aside and said ”不知道!”. In the end I had to dashed into the hotel lobby and reconfirmed with the reception on duty. Understand that English may not be a common language for the hotel staff especially the older ones. But won't it make a great difference if the staff at least knows the English name of the hotel that they are working for?

This was the best hotel experience we have ever had! The service was beyond fabulous! Matthew and Tina were so lovely and thoughtful. I am only sorry I can’t remember everyone’s names or else I would mention them too. Matthew and Tina went out of their way to offer us gifts during our stay. Matthew even mixed special cocktails just for us! We would highly recommend anyone to stay at a Club Lounge room here as I can guarantee you will be very well taken care of. Thank you again to the staff there for making our stay as wonderful as it was! We will definitely be going back in the very near future!

The hotel itself is nice, you need to know which building you are booking as there are 3 then there's a hotel around the corner with same/similar name. The biggest downfall is the aircon is set at 25degrees so it's like an oven in the room which makes for a very unrestful sleep, i was only there for one night so not too bad i did hear as i was leaving that if you are staying you can request a fan.

I booked the hotel to spend the New Year’s Eve. We arrived there at 12:00 am to make check in because it’s normal in China to make early check in. The reception attendant said that the room was not ready, we needed to wait until 14:00. Ok, we came back at 14:10. Waited in a long line to make check in. In the end the receptionist said that the room was still not ready, asked us to wait more 30 minutes. At 15:00 we were able to enter the room. Seems like the reason for this problem was over booking, but the hotel is a 5 star hotel, I expected a better treatment. They didn’t offer anything to apologize. Apart of it, the room is good, nice view.

Location is not bad not perfect too. If you primarily move by Metro the Station South Shaanxi Road is 750m away what is a liitle anoying when you have to walk it a lot of times.. You can take one of the rental bike which are in big numbers at the station and in front of the hotel as well. Oppsite to the hotel there a s small mini.market where you get a lot of things like beverages, snacks and so on like you find in any mini-market. Stuff is friendly, but if you need english then this is quite limited except of the upper management. Breakfast is good. I had an executive room on 24th floor. The room was goog in any way. If there is a complaint then only regarding the ”executive lounge”, which basically does not exist. There are to standard hotel rooms with a connectiong door where some tables, chairs and sofas are placed. More or less nothing mentionable offered there, except for some very basic packages of snacks which you wuld get in the minimarket for a few RNB. So the executive lounge is definitly NO REASON to book an executive room! But all in all except of this executive lounge topic, which feels a little bit like a rip-off, the hotel is fine and recommendable.

The location of the hotel is perfect if you want to go out for the night in Found 158. The hotel is only up the road from an abundance of small and beautiful shops. Checking in was faster than at other hotels with no extra unnecessary questions. The decor is a little old but that has no affect on anything but aesthetics. I had two issues however. The only mirror available was in the bathroom where there are no useable plug points for appliances. It was a fun little mission to straighten my hair in the reflection of the mirror.

I have stayed at Youxi Movie Hotel at 242 Ju Lu Road, Shanghai, China about three and half weeks from 13th November to 5th December. I had a wonderful time there. It located at the central Shanghai and is close to many entertainment centres and tourist attractions and shopping centra. The staffs at Youxi Movie Hotel were very helpful and friendly and the service is excellent. It was very surprise to me that my room is very quiet at night and you can watch a film on the wall while you are in the bed. My room is quite big so once I had my friends came over to watch the movie and chatter. And this hotel is quite new and the my room is very clean too.

Take your children to experience the old Shikumen The B&B is consistent with the pictures, and the decoration is very beautiful. The flowers are very fresh. It can be seen that the rooms are well maintained and taken care of. If there is anything missing, the boss will reply immediately and answer all questions. It is really good. The B&B is in a busy area, and there are many delicious takeaways around! ! ! The boss is very nice, he takes good care of everything and explains the precautions very carefully🤓 The only downside is that it’s a bit noisy upstairs, and it’s best to ask the aunt to mop the floor. Another great stay at the Swissotel! As always a great welcome and greeting by the night manager Jason. His associate, Jack is also always kind and very helpful with anything that I may need. Always so inviting, caring and makes me feel like a family member when I stay. The hotel is decorated nicely for Christmas and has a nice holiday feel. Chose this beautiful house to reunite with my family during the holidays. The warm interior decoration and the environment of an old alley are very atmospheric and everyone likes it.
