Shanghai Jinjiang Metropolo Classic East Nanjing Road Hotel

Shanghai Jinjiang Metropolo Classic East Nanjing Road Hotel

The Bund Area Shanghai|0.35km from Nanjing East Road Pedestrian Street
I booked 4 nights in Dec2023. As it was winter, the entire hotel's aircon cooling system was turned off and switched to heating mode. There is no cooling mode in all the rooms. We were unfamiliar with the aircon settings and this resulted in our room becoming hot as a sauna. We slept on top of our blankets and were drenched in sweat in the middle of the night. Luckily for the 24 hours front desk, we called for help at 2am. They were cheerful and responsive and even sent someone up to our room and brought us a fan to circulate the air. And when an empty room was available the next day, they gave us an upgrade to a larger room with a much better air circulation. Despite paying only a fraction of the price of a big brand hotel (like Hyatt, Marriott or ), the service we received at JinJiang is on par or better. All the staff speak English and are attentive and eager to please. If things go wrong, let them know and give them a chance to rectify. I highly recommend this hotel for the excellent location and impeccable service. Thank you JinJiang Metropolo hotel for making my stay in Shanghai so enjoyable despite having almost no sleep the first two nights. All your staff from the front desk, doorman, bar waiter and room attendant scored very high marks! Great job! Special thanks to 小雷 for helping us with the aircon and room change. Thanks! 小雷

Ji hotel has great location, right beside daimaru dept store and hongyi plaza. Walking distance to the bund. We stayed at family room (1 double + 1 single). Room is cleaned daily but only the floor, the bed isn’t made at all during our 4 night stay. They only clean the floor and replace towel. Hotel is non smoking but you can clearly smell cigarette smell in the hallway and bathroom. I suspect people upstairs or downstairs smoke in the bathroom. Free laundry in the first floor. Lack of basic amenities (toothbrush must ask the receptionist). Receptionists know little to no English, some are not very friendly.

Great location very close to the bund and on east Nanjing road so if you want to shop it’s great. I felt the service was below average for the price of 2700 ¥ a night. There was no welcome drinks you would think on a hot summer day the front desk would offer water. There was no help going to the room and guide on Wi-Fi, the room, where the swimming pool and time for breakfast. The turn down service is lackluster nothing was really changed in the room. The front desk really need training on how to treat guest at a luxury level this is not a cheap hotel and thus guest pay extra money for the hotel to pay extra for attention to detail. Breakfast service was great and the selection was great.

I'm telling the truth, the two beauties at the front desk have a very good attitude, and they also helped me introduce the itinerary, which allowed me to experience the enthusiasm of Shanghainese, and gave me a good review. I live in a windowless room. Netizens say that there is no sound insulation. It is true. You can listen to what the neighbor says. Last night, the child next door didn’t go to sleep until almost 11 o’clock. We can fall asleep. The sound insulation cannot be changed. , It’s just a partition, the sound insulation is definitely poor, if you think big people don’t care, the advantage is that it’s very close to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and the subway station, and the old Guilin rice noodles next to it are also delicious and can be refilled for free Powder, very nice.

Stayed in a LOFT, the overall experience is okay, not recommended in summer! shortcoming: 1. The room is small and the sofa is too close to the TV. 2. No screens! The wind from the air conditioner smelled, and the room smelled a bit sour and humid. But without screen windows, it is impossible to ventilate the room in summer, which is very uncomfortable. Remove the induction cooker and the cooking fume and change a window screen. Doesn't it smell good? 3. No socket at the head of the bed! I really can't bear this one. There is not a socket on the second floor, and the mobile phone can't be charged at all at night. 4. The hotel has a common problem, and the sound in the corridor can be heard, very clearly. This room is at the top, which is better. advantage: 1. Convenient and quiet environment. It is really convenient for transportation, eating and shopping, and the surrounding facilities are very complete. Although it is very close to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, just across the street, it is not noisy at all and very quiet. 2. The service attitude is very good. 3. It looks like there is no elevator on the picture, but there is actually one. There is a washing machine (no laundry detergent), refrigerator, and induction cooker in the room. If it is not summer, there is a charging place at the head of the bed and will stay again. But the room lock is a code lock, which feels a bit insecure. I don’t know if the code law of each room is the same or whether it will be changed in time.

The location of the accommodation is super convenient, just on Nanjing East Road, very close to the Bund, three or five minutes walk, the room is clean and tidy, although the community is relatively old, but the interior is still possible, the photo forgot to take, next time I go to Shanghai will consider, the location is excellent!

It is very convenient to be close to the scenic Nanjing Pedestrian Street, and the subway station is across the road. It is very convenient to travel to Nai for travel. The food on the left side of the eating place has a punch-in Xiaoyang Shengjianbao, and the food city 200 meters from Nanjing Pedestrian Street on the right. The room should be a long-established house, but the room equipment is still clean and tidy. When booking the room, I didn’t look at the room on the first floor of the order carefully. Xiao Xiao at the front desk helped to upgrade the room with windows upstairs. It was great. The stay was very pleasant. I liked 👍.
