I was astonished by the exterior when I first arrived at Ôpartment. It has a sense of history in the building, surrounded by popular spots for city walk. My family and I were greeted by a fellow young man who offered to help our struggling hands with our luggage. Walking into the hotel, we encounter the modern looks of the lobby. By the registration counter, there is a table with coffee and cups for us to take away. I really liked the organisers at the back of the registration counter that holds room keys in each box. Going up the lift to our designated floor, the elevator door opened up to a gate, one that would remind me of the olden days, of Harry Potter, even. To gain access, we simply swipe our card at the side of the gate. It seemed as pets are allowed, we saw three dogs playing around at the hallway. It doesn’t smell bad so it didn’t bother us. The hotel room is very spacious and clean. There were magazines about the hotel, television, a kitchen with plates and bowls and utensils, a comfy bed, and of course the bathroom. As it is my birthday this April, a kind sister called Vicky who works there brought me a cheese cake. It was quite surprising to come back to the room to see a cake by the table. It was sliced into three pieces, just the right size for my mum, dad and I. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night. While my mother checked-out our room, I observed the notebook they left on the table to the left of the registration counter. There was a mirror in front of the notebook, and a pen beside it. It is a notebook left for guests to write and draw on. I asked the staff if I could bring it up to the top floor, a bar with pretty interior designs, to draw on the notebook. So I did. The bar was probably closed, or maybe it is more popular by night, since there were nobody there except for one man who I guess works there. There were many wine bottles and flowers, plus a balcony with great view. I drew on two pages of the notebook, taking my time as they allow me to. When I went back down to show them my proudly done work, the staffs were all excited and shocked to the point they snapped pictures and even gave me a notebook of the same design as a souvenir. At last, we had to part and say goodbye. When the car that is supposed to pick us up arrived, two or three of the staffs (noticeably all of them are pretty young) helped us with our luggage and carried it to the car for us. I’ll have to say, this is one of the most unique hotel I’ve ever been to!

What we love - its central location, cleanliness, a lot of food choices during breakfast buffet, heated pool. We just had some concerns during booking and check in, it was not indicated that our room has no windows but the reception just gave us this room without windows. Due to winter, temperature control cannot be changed so it tends to be very warm.

Nice hotel with great service especially for foreigners that don’t speak Mandarin. High class. Heard the adjacent restaurant is great. Huge luxurious bathroom. Not the most modern decor but very nice. Only surprise was for a higher end place I couldn’t find any coffee or tea cups.

It is great to have such an all-season hotel in such a location. Although the room is not big, it is very clean. The service was perfect, and I found that there were actually two White Rabbit toffee 🍬 in the small box on the small coffee table. Although they were small, they were thoughtful. The breakfast was surprisingly good, and there were freshly made noodles. I ordered the Shanghai-style scallion noodles, which were also delicious. Good review!

Pros: The location is perfect for tourists. The subway station (Line 2, Exit 9) is directly opposite the hotel's entrance. Near West Nanjing Road, walking distance to the Bund. The rooms are beautiful and elegant. Breakfast has a wide variety of Western and Chinese dishes. Cons: No wheelchair access/ramp. Lots of steps to carry up luggage to the entrance. Doorman was not nearby when we arrived, but did help to carry luggage when we left. Service is quick but not friendly. I did not see one smile from any staff member during all the time we were at the hotel. All in all a good hotel for the price range, and I would stay there again.

The good things about this hotel - it’s directly across the street from a metro station, a park, and an art museum. The main shopping street is a quick five minute walk away. The building, lobby, and breakfast room all have a beautiful, vintage charm. The staff is polite and helpful. The breakfast isn’t elaborate, but the simple fare is enough to start the day with energy. The room for one person was comfortable and the bathroom was surprisingly big. The room they assigned me was tucked away a bit so at night it was really quiet. The things that need improvement - the carpet in the room was awful. It was dirty and felt crunchy. I don’t think a deep clean would improve the carpet. The carpet in the rooms needs to be completely changed. The bathroom shower head was also a bit outdated and the sink had separated from the bathroom counter. I think if these things were fixed, the hotel would be fantastic. As it stands, as a solo traveler this place was affordable and overall decent for the price. The location and friendly staff were the best features.

Have to say this is the best hotel I've ever stayed in! ! ! The hotel has an elegant environment and a strong sense of design! The mattress is very comfortable and I slept beautifully all night. The front desk male staff are friendly and friendly. The only downside is that the car parked at the door blocked me from pulling my luggage into the hotel, which was a bit inconvenient. When I checked in, Starry was very kind. I asked for a late checkout and she gave it to me free of charge. I was also upgraded room free of charge which was very nice. I wasn’t overly sure on the amenities the hotel had (pool etc). The room was very clean with a lovely large bed. Good wifi, big TV, water in room, optional mini bar. I ordered some room service for lunch and it was very nice and came within a good time. All staff were very kind. I had a takeout delivered to the hotel and someone (I didn’t get her name) was very kind and helped me on her own phone to lick it up as I didn’t know how to do it. Would definitely stay again!

This is a really comfortable apartment in a great location. Transportation to everywhere is made really easy with the West Nanjing Rd subway just across the street. There are 24h convenient stores and a large western supermarket nearby for grocery shopping. The inside is spacious and has a decent kitchen and a convenient set up of a bathroom, large closets, and 2 large bedrooms with king beds. We were here for a work trip and stayed for about a week and the amenities are complete to serve the apartment as a home away from home. The host is very responsive and accommodating and she also provides clear instructions for check-in/out and for the usage of all the equipment in the apartment. Thank you, Faye. Highly recommend and will come back again in winter to try out the floor heating!

Is another kind standard of China style hotel. What you needed from 5 stars Hotel in room all have, same same but different. Sharing elevator entrance in business building make the hotel look messy and cheap. Although price is slightly cheaper but not much compare to the hotel nearby. Room are noisy that you can hear sound from corridor or neighbours, when step in I saw a hearplugs on the table, then I understand why they put that there. I will not stay this hotel, if I back to shanghai again. Toilet never clean well left over stuffs, body foam never top up empty.

It is also faster to walk to Nanjing Pedestrian Street and the Bund. Service attitude 🤝: The boss is very enthusiastic and resolves problems. The staff is very friendly. Sanitary environment 💕: There is a small courtyard outside the door, and the public areas are very clean. Facilities and equipment🛀: Very complete, microwave, hot water (very convenient👍 to heat rice balls🍙 to eat); washing machine and dryer (I haven’t used it, I don’t know if it works) Room details ❗❗: There is a separate bathroom and air conditioning. The six-person room was a little smaller than I expected and it was slightly crowded due to the permanent population (❣️If you mind this, don’t book it). The roommates were all quiet, and the beds were comfortable, with separate cabinets and curtains. This small bed is my private space, very quiet and comfortable. PS⭕: Someone cleans the house every day🌸

My stay was amazing! I was really impressed by the beauty of the hotel and the cleanliness. The guy at the reception was really nice. I really loved the fact that it was small and cozy.
