I have to say that the State Guesthouse is a classic big country style. From the environment and greening, it is like a garden and landscape design. It is clean and hygienic, the environment is beautiful, the service is elegant, and the facilities are comfortable and grand. Don't share all these amazing reviews provided here. Dated and run down. Looks glam when you walk in but corridors, rooms and facilities are much less glam. Staff not exactly attentive, they looked rather gloomy or exhausted. The swimming pool facilities are partly falling apart which is a shame, just not maintained or looked after well enough over the years. Loved the massive rooms though. Great location and easy access to the metro and railway station.

I had a wonderful stay! The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early. We got to hotel super early and I didn’t wanna wait. So this was a big plus. The sevice was exceptional as well. Would definitely send a friend there.

The hotel is located in pretty good location, there are a lot of rooms, so it is always easy to book a room. The staff at the reception desk is very helpful, rooms are equipped with all necessary accessories. For me, as for the European, was little disappointing not finding dishes of the European cuisine on breakfasts. There is a big variety of Chinese food for breakfast, so if you like it, that will not be a big problem for you. You should also take in mind that the hotel is not new, rooms look tired, so the price per one night seems overpriced comparing to other hotel in the neighborhood.

I was attending an event at the Millennium Hotel nearby and since that place REEKS of horrible perfume, I wanted to find something nearby. The Holiday Inn Express seems to be newly renovated and everything looked new and clean. The room is small, but they make good use of the space. The bed is very comfortable and you have a choice of clearly marked soft or hard pillows. It’s very close to Line 10, so that’s convenient, and there are plenty of small restaurants and shops nearby. There were a lot of choices for breakfast, but nothing very delicious. Everything was either greasy or (unintentionally) cold. Despite seeming attention paid to making sure that things are clean and well-presented, every towel in my room - from bathmat to bath towel to hand towel - was old and frayed. Also, the iron , despite have a neatly tied cord, had a gigantic red blob on it, and multiple black smears. Housekeeping had to have seen these when they wound the cord and placed the iron away, yet they left it in that condition. Otherwise, I’d definitely recommend the hotel and stay there again if I were to be in that part of town.

First time using the JI hotel and it was very good. Very clean and comfortable rooms, breakfast is included and good. Staff were very helpful on check-in and called in advance to check what time we would arrive. Parking is free which is very useful in Shanghai

Excellently located for Hongqiao Airport/Station, only 3-5 stops and a 200m walk away (i.e. 15-20 mins). Perfectly acceptable if slightly tired hotel, right next to a shopping mall offering excellent food options. Only disappointment was the WiFi, it was confusing and rather hit or miss.

This is our second stay in the same trip. We started our family holiday in Shanghai staying at Sincere residence. After travelling a few cities, we return to Shanghai staying, again at Sincere Residence. Perfect location, next to subway, and opposite a shopping mall. The king of cost performance, the location is average, the driveway may be noisy (we don't mind, sleep well), breakfast is very good, the service is in place. The environment in the hotel is very good. When I left, the front desk lady also sent two bottles of Coke.
