Muchen Hotel Shangrao (Shangrao high-speed railway station Branch)

Highly recommend, full marks all around! The room was spacious and clean, the facilities were excellent, and the staff were attentive.

It's a new hotel, and some rooms are still under construction. There's a smell in the hallway, but the room itself is decent with new facilities, including a smart voice assistant. It's quite close to both the high-speed train station and the bus station, about a ten-minute walk. You can contact the front desk for a complimentary shuttle service. Parking is free. Many restaurants nearby are closed, but you can order takeout, and a robot will deliver it to your room. The main draw is the price and the amenities.

The Muchen Hotel is conveniently located to the right of Shangrao High-Speed Railway Station and the East Bus Station, just a ten-minute walk away. However, the area around the hotel feels a bit remote, with no restaurants or dining options nearby (this wouldn't be an issue for those traveling by car). For guests without a car, or those who prefer not to walk far, or elderly individuals with mobility issues, this could be quite inconvenient. Inside the hotel, the hygiene is excellent; the rooms are clean and tidy. Basic amenities like lighting and central air conditioning are good, and the bathroom features a wet/dry separation. There's also a washing machine and dryer available. The staff, from the front desk to the housekeeping team on the floors, are all very dedicated and responsible. Any minor issues were promptly addressed. During check-in, since the room type I booked was full, the front desk proactively offered me a room upgrade, which I greatly appreciated! I originally intended to give Muchen Hotel a five-star rating, but due to the catering department's head, whose impersonal and sharp-tongued manner negatively impacted the hotel's overall image, I'm giving it a 3.5 to 4-star rating instead.

The location is super convenient, really close to the station and shopping area, making it easy to find food, entertainment, and everything else. The room soundproofing is good, the AC works well, and it's clean and tidy. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic.

Looking at the rating, I thought it would be great, but after staying, I realized it's a hassle just to get breakfast. The directions are unclear, and I almost walked into the restroom instead of the dining area. The power in my room kept going out, so I had to switch rooms, but then the smart controls didn't work. The funniest part was when I asked the front desk to prepare an invoice half an hour in advance because my finance department is strict. I had even inquired about it the night before and clearly explained what to look out for. After breakfast, I waited at the front desk, but my car arrived, and I had to leave because I was running out of time. I asked them to take a picture of the invoice and send it to me. I don't know if I wasn't clear enough or if they simply didn't understand, but it was quite frustrating. Eventually, I just said, 'Please mail the original to Hangzhou.' I was in a rush for my ride and didn't notice the WeChat messages until later. Two messages were retracted, so I don't know what they said, but one that wasn't retracted asked me to pay for the shipping! So, their mistake, and I have to pay for it. Anyone who stays here will understand; honestly, everything was terrible!

Five stars, highly recommend this hotel! The location is excellent, within walking distance to the station, making it super convenient for getting around and shopping. The room facilities are brand new and complete; the air conditioning and bathroom work perfectly, and the space is spacious and airy. The front desk staff are warm and courteous, check-in was efficient, and they were quick to respond to any requests. The entire room was meticulously cleaned with no unpleasant odors, and the soundproofing is good. Overall, it offers fantastic value for money, making it suitable for both business trips and leisure travel. I'll definitely prioritize this hotel for my next trip.
