Shangri-La Banxia Time Homestay (Dukezong Ancient City Branch)

Best stay in our Yunnan trip! The room is well heated and comes with oxygen machine. The owner is very kind. There is a halal restaurant 1 min walk away and the hotel is just 5 minutes walk to the square. The driver dropped us straight to the front of the hotel so no need to pull the luggages. Awesome hotel, definitely will reccomend to families travelling to shangrila.

Service: Excellent. The host is friendly, nice and very helpful despite the language barrier. You may refer to them if you need help on Didi, Potatso tour,Shangri-La Ski resort, etc. They also help send us to the train station early morning upon request. I feel very grateful for their kind and welcoming gestures. Facilities: We got a room with automatic bidet which I am really grateful for. The room and toilet is squeaky clean. The exterior and surrounding is also clean. On 1st floor, there is a washing machine with a dryer. There is a spot on 1st floor where you chill outdoor and eat with nice view. No lift but they will help you carry luggage. They have rooms at grd floor and 1st floor. Location: Strategic. Nearby Halal eatery (Lanzhou Lamian), mini market, also there is place if you want to rent traditional outfit, all is very near and easily accessible in 1-3min walk. Didi can access and drop you off in front of the homestay itself so easy to carry your luggage. Thumbs up. I totally recommend you to stay here 100% no doubt.

Great facilities provided by owner..owner so friendly and really helpful..this hotel location very perfect because waking distance only to dukezong ancient city..the view from room hotel was amazing and beautiful..the most important thing is they have washing machine and dryer..easy for us to wash and dry our previous clothes..thank you owner..really recommended to stay here..will repeat again for sure..

Now I totally understand why this hotel gets so much love. We stayed here for 3 night, and we really love our stay. First, the location is perfect. you can just walk to everywhere. If you take Didi, they can drop you off in front of the entrance. The hotel has everything you need, like floor heating, a humidifier, and even oxygen supply (which honestly saved us). The dry air and high altitude are no joke, we had AMS and nosebleeds, so this was super helpful. Also washing machine and drier is provided. And the owner is amazingly kind and helpful. They helped with our luggage, booked tickets for us, and even arranged transportation for us to Potatso National Park. Recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We loved everything about our stay here! Worth mentioning for: - they offer pickup and drop off from the train station; they even checked our arrival time earlier - the service is warm and hospitable — the owners didn’t even let us carry our own bags - as soon as we got there, the owners explained everything to us (they have washing machine/dryer, they even let us know where the mineral waters are in case what’s in the room is not enough, and they saw us wearing not super thick jackets so they mentioned they have extra puffers downstairs) and even offered to check in case we need to check about our travel plan - the owners are very responsive via wechat - the room is SPACIOUS; the heated floor makes it so much better - most importantly, they have smart toilet (trust me, you will need the warm seat and hot water in Shangrila 🤣) - the location is also superb, right in the middle of the ancient city. It’s like 5 minutes away from Guishan Park and 20 minutes away from Napa Lake (or Heidou Cafe) - there are halal eateries nearby Thing(s) to consider but not a dealbreaker for us: - there are stairs to get to the room, so might not be suitable if you’re traveling with elderly or have knee problems (but they’re normal stairs, not steep stairs) It was such a great experience for us 💓
