Z Hotel (Shangri-La Dukezong Ancient City)

A truly wonderful stay! The service was attentive and thoughtful, with a very prompt response time. The room was clean and dry, and the oxygen supply facility was extremely practical, helping to relieve altitude sickness. There was a wide variety of breakfast options, and the food tasted great. The environment is quiet and elegant, making it a great place to fully unwind after a busy day out. Every detail shows genuine care, resulting in a fantastic overall experience. You can definitely choose this hotel with confidence when visiting Shangri-La.

The room's oxygen supply and underfloor heating are absolute essentials for the plateau, allowing for a sound sleep straight through till morning. The overall environment is quiet, the rooms are clean and bright, and the facilities are very well maintained. The staff are warm, attentive, and great with details. Located very close to the ancient town, it makes exploring and dining out completely hassle-free. Whether traveling by car or on a self-guided trip, this place is a great fit, and I will definitely stay here again next time.

Amazing!!! My family stayed here before and recommended it to me, so I booked it without hesitation. As soon as we arrived, my partner immediately extended our stay for another two days! The service and location are both fantastic, especially the service attitude—the lovely receptionist and handsome front desk staff were always smiling, making you want to stay longer. It really feels like a home away from home, and the breakfast was delicious too! The ancient town is right next to the hotel, and there's a car rental nearby, which is super convenient. (Personally, I think it's so much better than a guesthouse! I've stayed in guesthouses in Lijiang and they were just mediocre.) This was our honeymoon trip, and it was absolutely wonderful. We'll definitely bring our family to stay at Z Hotel again next time we visit Shangri-La. Tashi Delek!

Our stay at Hotel Z was fantastic. Tucked away in a quiet spot yet close to the hustle and bustle, it was very convenient for visiting Dukezong Ancient Town, and self-driving parking was a breeze. The check-in reception was heartwarming and efficient. The room was spacious and well-equipped with oxygen supply and underfloor heating, so traveling with family was worry-free regarding altitude sickness. The cleanliness was also spot on.

The room was great, and Zhuoma was lovely and very helpful. The breakfast was also delicious with a wide variety of choices! I really love this hotel! We arrived quite late and were a bit hungry, so the receptionist was so sweet to prepare some tea and snacks for us—such a thoughtful touch. They even upgraded our room. The cleanliness was spot-on, and it featured a huge TV. We had a very comfortable stay, and the breakfast was delicious too.

You can pick your own toiletries, which is a great touch. Choosing this hotel for our road trip to Shangri-La was definitely the right call! The location is great—very close to the ancient town, making it super convenient to get around. It also has a dedicated parking lot with plenty of spaces. You can just park right when you check in, saving you the hassle of looking for street parking. It's extremely friendly for road-trippers.

The room came with supplemental oxygen, floor heating, and a humidifier, making our stay very pleasant. The butler helped us arrange a driver in advance, and breakfast was served until 11:00 AM, which was great. The hotel has its own parking lot and EV charging stations. It's just a 5-minute drive or about a 15-minute walk to the ancient town. They also provided complimentary fresh fruit and sweet soup every day.
