Shangri-La Half View Vacation Homestay (Near the Giant Prayer Wheel, Dukezong Ancient City)

This hotel offers incredible value for money! The rooms are spacious and clean, and the location is fantastic – you can get everywhere quickly. The breakfast rice noodles are delicious! The owner is warm, enthusiastic, and attentive, providing excellent service. If you're visiting Shangri-La, you really should stay here. I'll definitely be back!

The environment is very comfortable and the owner is also very welcoming. We arrived past midnight and they still came to pick us up from the high-speed train station. When we got there, there was hot tea to warm us up. The room was also great value for money, very big and comfortable. You can also enjoy the view from the rooftop.

Excellent stay, a shame it was only for one night. I'll definitely book here again next time I'm in Shangri-La. The room amenities were very modern, from the 'little sun' heater to smart controls. I really loved the rooftop observation deck, though unfortunately it kept raining.

Ten-star review! The owner is super nice, incredibly responsible, and very enthusiastic. I got altitude sickness in the middle of the night, and the owner helped me with an oxygen machine. The hygiene is also super, super clean! The breakfast is delicious, and you can even enjoy the view from the rooftop.

An absolute surprise! The design is sophisticated, the room is super spacious, and the projector was a hit with the kids. The oxygen supply system provided peace of mind, and the rooftop balcony offered stunning views. For breakfast, the rice noodles were personally cooked by the owner's mother. The owner even provided pick-up and drop-off services to and from the station, and we received complimentary tickets for a dance show in the ancient town and a voucher for a Thangka intangible cultural heritage experience. Next time I'm in Shangri-La, I'll definitely stay here again!

The room was very spacious, and the breakfast was delicious. The owner provided excellent service, picking us up and dropping us off at the train station. They even gave us some snacks when we left. The cats and dogs at the property are incredibly cute. We'd definitely come back if we have the chance.

The B&B offers a convenient pick-up service from the train station. The owners are really lovely, and the rooms are new and comfortable. The twin and family rooms are perfect for a family of three. The breakfast is also incredibly delicious! 😋

This guesthouse was very clean, and the overall layout was great. My room even had a view of the golden prayer wheel. It's located within the old town but isn't noisy. There were two minor drawbacks: the oxygen machine required disposable tubes to be inserted into the nostrils, and the owner said neither the underfloor heating nor the air conditioning was available for the season. It wasn't too bad, not overly cold. I found it quite chilly on the first day, but once I adjusted, it was fine. The room had a humidifier and a fan. My solution was to continuously boil water in my portable kettle with the lid open; this both warmed the room and added humidity. The room provided disposable bath towels and regular towels, which I thought was excellent. Plus, the bathroom and toilet were separate, making it cleaner and more comfortable. This guesthouse also uniquely has an elevator, and the owner has two adorable Samoyeds! There's a bathtub in the room, complete with disposable bath liners. However, the price is significantly higher than other guesthouses. In Shangri-La Old Town, you can usually find guesthouses for around 300-400 CNY, but this one was over 600 CNY on Ctrip, which is quite expensive.
