Shangri La Dukezong Ancient City Moonlight Square Atour Hotel

As a high-end Atour hotel, it has an exceptional ambiance. The service is excellent, and the facilities are superb. The location is very convenient, about a ten-minute walk to the square, and the surroundings are quiet. The rooms are equipped with oxygen, so there's no need to worry about altitude sickness.

Stayed at this hotel for two consecutive nights and it was great! The facilities are complete, and the hygiene is pretty good. All the towels and toiletries were individually packaged, which was a nice touch. The service was excellent, and the location is convenient for getting around. Plus, the breakfast was abundant and clean.

Great location, just a 5-minute walk to the old town. They have their own parking lot, which is convenient if you're driving. You can easily hail a taxi directly from the hotel. The hotel environment is good, the rooms are spacious, and breakfast is decent. There's a bakery called 'Snow Mountain Kitchen' right at the hotel entrance.

I contacted the hotel before checking in and most of my requests were met. The hotel lobby can be a bit hard to find if you're driving; they should add more car guidance signs on the left wall or on the road once you enter the hotel area. The room has diffused oxygen supply, so I slept very soundly. Guishan Park is right outside the window.

Facilities: Firstly, the oxygen supply was very effective. Next to the oxygen outlet, there was a screen displaying two numbers: the actual altitude (3200m) and a dynamically displayed equivalent altitude. After turning on the oxygen, the latter gradually decreased and stabilized between 2800-2900m. For those with mild altitude sickness in Shangri-La, any discomfort can completely disappear. Secondly, the king-sized bed was very comfortable, and the corner sofa, without its backrests, was 90cm wide, large enough for four friends to share a room if needed. Cleanliness: The newly renovated room had no strange odors, was dry and clean, and all amenities were spotless. Environment: The layout resembles a resort hotel, with many detached two-story and single-story buildings, each containing a few guest rooms. Parking is available right at the entrance, which is very convenient for self-drivers. Stepping out, you're right at the entrance of Moonlight Square, a 5-minute walk to the pedestrian street for dining and entertainment, and a 10-minute walk to the Great Prayer Wheel. Seeing the Great Prayer Wheel slowly turning outside the window at night offered a magical aesthetic. Service: The bellboy proactively helped with luggage, and the housekeeping aunt came to collect and deliver laundry, likely to minimize guest exertion. Borrowing an umbrella from the front desk was very convenient. Another important point: excellent blackout curtains and soundproofing. The room was completely dark and quiet at night, ensuring a super good night's sleep.

The rooms are in the style of small villas, clean and tidy with very new decor. The location is convenient; right outside is the main scenic area of Dukezong Ancient City. Breakfast is exquisite and offers a rich variety. From the room, you can see the city gate and the prayer wheel.

Jianye (Jianye Hotel) is as comfortable and reassuring as ever. It's very close to the ancient city and even closer to the prayer wheel. The quality of Atour's breakfast is consistently good. Highly recommended!

I came alone with my child, and I was worried about altitude sickness, so I chose Atour and Orange Hotel. Atour Hotel is right next to the ancient town with an internal path leading directly into it, only a three-minute walk! The hotel environment is excellent. I booked a king-size room for two nights, and to my surprise, it was upgraded to a suite – what a pleasant surprise! The room facilities are very comprehensive, with oxygen diffused throughout the entire room, available all day. There are also nasal oxygen tubes on both sides of the bed, which are very effective. I had some altitude sickness after activity on the first day, but after using the oxygen in the hotel room, I felt fine again! There's also underfloor heating and a humidifier, making it very comfortable! The hygiene is also impeccable; all bath towels, shower towels, and pajamas are disposable and disinfected, and changed daily. I've stayed in many five-star hotels, but this was my first experience like this. And even though they are separate villas, they are super quiet and comfortable. From the room, you can see the Big Buddha Temple in the ancient town opposite – the view is simply unbeatable! The ancient town temple and the prayer wheels at night are incredibly dreamy! Although it's a bit of a walk to the restaurant and laundry room, the staff can help by washing and drying clothes placed in the washing machine and delivering them to the room. I've stayed at Atour hotels in China many times before, and this service was usually only available at night, so I'd like to thank all the staff! There's a shuttle bus in the complex, and staff helped transport our luggage to the room. When we checked out, we called the front desk, and the shuttle bus took us to the hotel entrance! The overall experience was excellent. I had originally booked the nearby Orange Hotel to experience two different styles, but after choosing Atour, I decisively gave up on the Orange Hotel and stayed for three consecutive nights! The breakfast was also very rich, and my family, feeling unwell from altitude sickness, had their breakfast packed and brought to the room. Overall, this trip was made even better by the hotel. I highly recommend everyone choose this place!
